why do u want to see vids from me?

why not

do u not believe me?

First off I was curious, I enjoy vids. Secondly stop being so insecure that when someone asks if you have vids you start acting shady or what not about it. It’s a yes or no fucking question, don’t try to psychoanaylze what I asked because it states it plain and simple no hidden messages.

u could have said: got any videos, im curious to see your lifting. Im not being shady im disgusted with the fact that everyone asks for proof of your lifting, when half of them are the ones that lie about the #'s
Sorry bud but I have vids of my lifts. I asked if you had any vids. Don’t see the problem.

It’s going great bro I just haven’t had time with school and my new job to do much on here. My laptop also crashed so I’m using my parents computer and it’s a pain in the ass. I’ll start back up once I settle in.

You bench with a fairly wide grip, and I was wondering if you have any shoulder pain or discomfort?

Nah man, no pain at all. I do bench pretty wide arms almost perpendicular to my torso. I’ve always done it that way, am strongest that way, and probably will always bench like that.

Do you just do regular bench pressing or do you do other variations of it and still go heavy?
Hows your deadlift been doing?

And is your leg better? I remember you saying you injured your knee awhile back and coulnd’t do much leg stuff.

You have Dumbbells that go up to 85 in your Bedroom?

Hope you start posting again.

I wish they showed me email notifications that I had new replies in here, sorry for being so late.

For bench on chest days (I am a bodybuilder at heart so my split is geared towards that although I dream of having a world record raw bench one day), I do flat bench and Incline bench with a wide grip, both heavy.

Lately the bench has been in the 3 and below rep range and inlcines more towards eight. I do full lockouts on bench, and X-reps on inclines, so I’m only moving the bar about 8 inches off my chest, however it is harder and hits the pecs more than inclines with a full lockout.

On tricep days I do close grip bench where my grip is probably half as wide as my normal grip. I find this to be great for building triceps and also hit the front delts well, and in my opinion is essential for a big bench especially lockout strength.

Deadlift…I’ve been bringing it slowly back into my training on back days. My numbers are not as high as they were (525) now upper 400’s, so it’s alittle depressing, but that’s what happens when you had an injury.

I do get a pinch in my upper back along my scapula, like a nerve or something when pulling. I don’t like it and gotta find out the problem.

However, that leaves legs which I have not been training and I’m very ashamed to admit to that. I don’t have an excuse other than it’s about that point in my life where my home weight set is not adquate enough to suit my needs safely and with that being said, besides from maintaining, I need to get a gym memebership ASAP. When I get one I will absolutely be hitting them as hard as I can.

I’m very top heavy right now. IM 6’2 and 225 pounds with medium size quads and chicken calves. I think with two months of proper leg training I could probably weigh in at about 240. That would also benefit my upper body tremendously and also be an overall plus.

I plan on competeing in either the 2009 or 2010 teen nationals, but like our good friend Prof X, I don’t want to compete unless I feel I’d be in a winning position.

I’m going to have to put some money into this habbit more than the few supps I’ve been taking, in order to get more serious. Although I eat a lot it is not the healthiest of foods (fast food when I need a calorie fix and moms meals arent cutting it). Thnak God I have a job.

With that being said I need a new computer, muffler for my car, to pay my college bills, gas, car insurance, and cell phone bill, and being 18 with a job at best buy that is kind of tough.

When there is a will there is a way and I’m going to make a way somehow. Maybe try to get a sponsor lol ;). Thanks for checking in though and sorry for getting back to you three weeks late.

*5’s in my bedroom brother. I love them, there probably about 25 years old too from when my dad was slinging them around (he still does today) but they’re always put to good use.

I trained shoulders tonight, By far my weakest upper body part in proportion to my biceps, triceps, back, and chest. Never really train them directly, but if I plan on competeing I need the full arsenal. They aren’t weak per say compared to your average gym rat, but that’s for you to say.

So I wrote an essay on bodybuilding for my composition class…I won best essay lol if you want to take a look here it is.

On Motivation

??Come on bro, do it, you got it in you, push that sh*t you know you can do it, come on come on.?? I said this to myself last Monday as I was working out trying to hit a new personal best of 300 pounds for 5 reps on the bench press. ??Girly man do it, God gave you muscles, use them.??

I was pumped, I was ready, I was going to accomplish what I set out to do and gravity was not going to stop me.

Three years has gone by and I haven??t missed a single workout session without good reason. I??ve been consistent, lifted heavy, lifted often. I??ve ate when I wasn??t hungry just to get those extra calories in required for me to grow.

I??ve tried my best to get at least eight hours of sleep in every night so that my body is always rested and ready for a new days work. I??ve read countless articles, dozens of books and have devised numerous plans to help me achieve my goals.

I??m going to be Mr. Olympia one day which is the title received by the greatest bodybuilder in the world.

I??m acquainted with my gym. We have a sort of ??love hate?? relationship. She??s my dungeon where I slave away until my work is done and I reap the rewards of my grueling effort. Funny thing is though; my work will never be done.

There is always room for improvement, added details, more sculpture, and I have nowhere near reached my genetic potential. I??m a rock, and the weights are my chisel, and just as Michelangelo sculpted David, I will sculpt myself into a masterpiece no matter how long it takes.

Here??s where it gets interesting. I have no idea why I do what I do. What I know is that I love bodybuilding, the sweat, the grunts, the pain, the pleasure, everything even the minutest details such as timing my protein intake so that it correlates with my insulin levels to insure that my muscles are receiving as many nutrients as possible.

I feel as though I know so much that I could teach my nutrition and gym classes with more knowledge to spare and a better understanding then my teachers. You obviously get the picture, bodybuilding defines me. It is me.

I have made a few inferences about the roots of my motivation (to be the biggest, baddest, strongest guy on the planet), but nothing is clear. It could possibly be the fact that I was overweight growing up and did not like my self image.

It could be that I always wanted to be the strongest kid on the playground, the kid who nobody bothered in fear of getting a stern ??ass kicking.?? It could and does have to do with getting more female attention.

However, that is only a small factor related to a bigger picture. It may be the fascination that I can change the way that I look with hard work and dedication. To tell you the truth it is probably all these things plus some.

Honestly though, I do not get too enveloped with my thoughts on my own motivation because in the end I am positive that I will be in the gym next week exceeding my previous limits.

greeat log read it all
just wondering what a french Press is
and whether you go into each session knowing exactly what your doing exercise set rep and weight wise or is it just what you feel on the day
bulkman wrote:

French Press is the same as a skull crusher. You do them standing, lower the bar to the back of your neck or however far it takes to bring your forearms down keeping your bi/tris in a stationary position. It really hit the long head well, I’d say just think of a standing skull crusher.

Actually the routine I wrote out is basically what I do but not always how I do. I train by instint, I’ll go in and say I want to hit chest today, start off benching, and see where it takes me. Often times I go in with a plan and I wind up doing something totally different.

Arms. I have a burning sensation where my tricep connects to my elbow and it really gets aggrivated when I do certain movements (OH Extensions, Pushdowns), I get a sharp pain that stems from my elbow to my forearm. Because of this, I really toned down the tricep work til it’s healed.

Biceps

Straight Bar Curls
135x6
135x3
115x9
95x10

Alt. DB Curls
45x8
45x7
45x6

CC
20x15
25x10
30x8

Triceps

Close Grip Bench
135x10
205x8
225x4
205x5

DB OH Ext. (Where I got intense sharp pain and called it quits)
40x5
30x10
30x8

Getting stronger on everything, just need some rest for my tricep. Funny story is I think I injured it arm wrestling. Theres this guy who always claims to be a good arm wrestler and the other night he called me out.

I’m a lefty, he’s a righty. So I versed him lefty and demolished him. Versed him righty, it took me alittle longer but I still beat him. UNfortunately my forearm was in pain afterward, and I aggrivated it more working out the next day.

Stupid is stupid does, now I’m paying for my ego boost lol. I’ll get better soon though no biggie.

Good to see you back and gettin’ at the iron man.

Thanks brother.

AB,

 1. Keep the determination and the other things will take care of themselves in time (injuries, gym memberships, nagging injuries, etc.)
 2. Who is that in your avatar?
 3. What the fuck is he holding? Did he just steal a fancy serve tray and a fancy ash tray from a fancy hotel and no one is saying anything cuz he is hyooge?
 4. Nice essay

Very good story of yours. I have a friend who’s almost in the same type of situation as you’re in, except he doesn’t lift. He chose to continue to party all the fucking time, and I can almost guarantee that he won’t be as successful as he could be.

I don’t match your strength, size, and the amount of money you received in scholarship, but I will match your will and determination. Keep doing what you’re doing, what you do day in and day out undoubtedly inspires others.

Thanks dude, I know everything will fall into place, shit I’m 18 I have my whole life ahead of me to do what I want to do and be who I want to be.

As for the guy in my avatar, it’s Kevin Levrone, who I consider to be the greatest bodybuilder ever. I train with his mentality everytime I go to the gym and feel he was robbed with many second place Olympia finishes. Definately a huge man.

EDIT: if my memory serves me correct, those are bodybuilding trophies he won, becasue in his movie “Kevin Levrone, Maryland Muscle Machine,” he has a trophy room and they are a small part of his collection. I don’t want to say they’re from the Arnold Classic which he won a few times, because that trophy is shaped like a small glass version of the stanley cup, it must be some other competition.

Thnaks bro, and always remeber good things come with time, Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your body be built quickly. I am honored to have given you alittle bit of inspiration, and with that attitude I’ll know you’ll do great. Best of luck to you and your goals.
