DEXA carries a margin of error, much like pretty much any method of measurement. I would definitely trust how I look vs what the numbers say when it comes to evaluating how fat I am.

Nothing wrong with chasing numbers; just helpful to be honest in self-assessment.

Laughed at this question. It’s at the top of the search on Instagram when you search your name :joy::joy: you’re 16, you’re supposed to know these things. Of old man bulldog found you, then it’s bad.

But December 17 you had 405 as a Pr listed on it. So in less than a month you jumped 50 lbs.

Lol we are all slight meatheads

Yes I have never been a powerlifter until like 4 months ago I only focused on hypertrophy and had terrible form but I have been focusing on efficiency in my bench and I bench multiple times a week for very long intense sessions

My low tolerance for bull shit is well known to all.

Wasn’t trying to bs just misworded

Nope, no way in hell. Mine is 35.5" when measured properly.

Also no way in hell. I wouldn’t believe 24%. Take your shirt off, don’t suck it in and post and honest front relaxed pic if you want feedback.

You’re about 100lbs off in this video and using assisted wraps. This is a STRONG bench you should be proud but I don’t see you jumping 100bs from this. When you’re this strong each additional lb is that much harder to get.

I imagine he’s going off pant size rather than waist size.

Kid, you are impressively big and strong for someone your age. And let’s be honest, the reason you updated this thread is because you wanted someone to say that–you wanted other lifters to acknowledge how impressively big and strong you are. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that–everyone likes stroke, everyone likes compliments. So I’ll say it again–very impressive.

Moving on. I don’t know if you still want people to ‘tell you what to do’ (as per the title), but here’s my advice:
+Make sure your training is not one-dimensional. When a young person is exceptional at one lift (as you are for benching), it’s really easy to get sucked into a routine that prioritizes that lift to the detriment of others. So I would recommend you make an honest assessment of your routine to determine whether you’re giving back, shoulders, legs, etc, as much time and energy as you should.
+At this time, you’re carrying too much bodyfat to have what most people would consider an aesthetically pleasing physique. Note that ‘most people’ includes you–that is, you clearly recognize that your physique is not pleasing, otherwise you would have displayed it shirtless, and without obscuring it behind a sort of ‘most muscular’ pose. Your current physique is that of an athletic big guy whose ‘job’ is to be strong, not aesthetic. (Think football lineman.)

So what should you do about it? Well, that depends on your near-term goals. If your goal is ‘get as big and strong as I can, and do it as quickly as possible’ then you should continue doing what you’re doing. Likewise, if you play a sport that puts a premium on being big and strong–keep doing what you’re doing. But if your near-term goal is something like ‘I want to have a beach-type body this summer,’ then you need to start leaning out now.

Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck. If you want specific advice re lifting or eating, just ask–there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site. Or, if you just want to come back in a couple of years and post a progress pic/video, that’s fine too.

Yeah I am I can measure my waist later tho

Wdym hundred pounds off do you mean with wrap assistance

They’re very different measurements. People tend to wear their pants around their hips, rather than their waist. Wearing pants around waist is more of an old timer thing, as it was the style in the 40s

Which is why older men still do it today
