Rapid Fat Loss

So how do you set up your refeed Chim? And have you been including the free meal?

I need to set more defined limits. Carbs beget carbs for me and thats not a good thing!
Even though I only had about 150 yesterday, I woke with a pounding headache, not sure if its related. And they were clean carbs too, 'cept for the cup of regular spaghetti, oops…then again I have a gluten sensitivity, so there ya go.

I need to figure this out and make it work for me! Refeeds are tricky when your brain doesn’t cooperate.

A lot of it is trial and error. I’ve found 200g or so for me in a meal is fine, but more and I just am super bloated. You’ll have to play around with it and eventually you’ll notice what does what (if you’re being observant).

I’ve been doing the refeed like he recommends in the book, 5 hours once a week. About 3000-4000 calories depending on how much I can eat and what I’m doing. I’ve been skipping the free meal because I don’t feel I need it. However, it’s crunch time for me to get done to my goal (October first) so I’m going down to 2 cheat meals a weak rather than a refeed.

It’s also worth noting that I have more carbs/day than he recommends. 40 gin a periworkout shake.

Hope that helped!

Isn’t it a weird feeling to be able to suck it in? I remembered how excited I was when I could see my ribs again, lol.

So your a moderately young guy Chim. What are your plans/strategies to maintain and not have to ever do this diet again? :)
Haha, well the plan is to actually keep track of calories once I “bulk” again, the first two years of lifting I just ate everything in sight which was not the best plan. I’m also going to see how I do with fewer overall calories as I might not need as much as I tend to estimate.
I tend to do that too. Ya know how I was 177 about 2 weeks ago? Well I definitely had the post-diet rebound (not too much fat) and weighed in at 186 today heh. I should probably tone back the food amount a bit, it’s not that I’m eating garbage just lots of tasty meat. Either way lookin good chim, keep it up!
Thanks Liquid! 9 pounds isn’t anything to worry about what with water and glycogen and all that. And if you look like that posing vid you posted you look pretty good.

cool… how far apart do you plan on spacing the free meals??
How much more do you have to go to reach your goal?

I just decided yesterday to do the free meal thing, but I’m likely going to keep it to the weekends.

I have about 3 more inches to lose around the stomach area to reach my goal. I didn’t really set a weight that I wanted to hit, more inches and looks.

Also, how’s the diet treating you MiM?

Yah I’m not too worried about it. I also put a new vid up (back only since I had to hold the camera) but at least you can get a scope of what I’m lookin like now.

Diet is ok…I wish there was a different way that worked as fast but wasn’t as sucky. (liposuction??) I want to be done with this already and that’s why I’m choosing this route(again). I just hope the metabolism cooperates.

I’m not taking any supps, atm…so maybe that would help.

Chim- I like your outlook on using inches, not weight…smart!! I’m taking measurements/pics every two weeks. I’m trying to stop caring how much I weigh and like you, go by how I look/feel(and fit in my jeans!)

Fish oil and fiber MiM. That’d be my suggestion, it’ll help you feel full longer and help with the gastro side of things not to mention fish oil should just always be in your diet. Also take a multi if you’re not. Since this is such low calories and lacking variety, you’re not going to be getting all the vitamins you actually need.

Hey, you guys wanna share daily meals eaten? That would be cool

This is my 4th time doing this diet

Mine are boring. 2 Chicken breasts, package of organic green beans with sea salt. Chicken breast has Mrs. Dash chipotle seasoning coated on it. I do this or some variation of it for every meal. The meat is always chicken, super lean beef, some sort of white fish and the veggies are either green beans or spinach. If I do spinach I have some low calorie italian dressing. If I give myself too many options I don’t do so well. And I do cottage cheese at night.

I meant to say that just because I’ve done this before I’m by no means an expert. And it wasn’t til I got to around this range of weight that I noticed how much more attention I had to pay. Rates of losses slooowed.

You could ask Lyle to write the Rapid(er) Fat Loss Diet, and chapter one would be: liposuction.

Definitely, while the scale is (sometimes) nice, living and dying by it is dangerous.

This week my variety has been cut down for simplicity’s sake.

2 chicken breasts, cauliflower, veggies.
5 shakes
Peri workout stuff
fish oil, fiber.

About 275g of protein, and the meals are split up a bit depending on how hungry I am.

Foods today:

pork chop(boneless) tenderizer, curry powder, cayenne
can o spinach
2 fishy caps

turkey meatballs
about 12oz cauli(steamed w/garlic salt, nom nom)

5 hard boiled eggwhites
tin o tuna
mouth fulls of spinach leaves

cottage cheese
fish caps

not bad today…just hungry!

my ring is getting looser

Day 8. Cat 1.

I HATE YOU ALL.

I can’t even stand up without feeling like dying. I hate stairs.

Thursday I am going to the chinese place and eating two quarts of rice.

Actually, I should probably get it delivered. Walking might kill me.

That is all.

Hey there Vicomte, I don’t think we’ve ‘met.’ Are you taking anything to suppress the hunger? That might help!

Today was kinda ‘off.’

1130- beef jerkey stick

2pm- beef jerkey stick, about 12 almonds(oops)

we were hiking, btw 4miles!!

6pm- turkey meatballs, cottage cheese, broccoli

on the way home I took a swig of the kids chocolate shake and snagged 6 french fries. And I just had 10 mini rice cake thingies.
I took some quick measurements this morning and Im already down an inch off my butt and 1.5 inches off my belly…not even a week into it.

I love and hate this diet
