Rapid Fat Loss

looking good Chim! Thats a shit load of weight lost.

I dont know about you LM but if I had a shot at possibly setting a PL Record that would be veeeeeeeery tempting and I dont know if I could get away from at least trying lol… Thats just me though[/quote]

Well looking at the the current USAPL lifts for 181, I’ve got the GA state record by a few hundred lbs for (total, deadlift, squat). As far as the National record, I’m still off by a bit it looks like (I misread the class last time) but hopefully will be obtainable in a year’s time. That being said I wouldn’t mind being invited to a nationals meet, that’d be cool. Bulking, onward and upward huzzah. I’ll put pre-pictures up, post-pictures up, then pre-RFD back down pictures up, and then pictures at the meet. I’ll even give nice captions.

Chimera, you have come a long way bro, good for you for sticking to it for this long.

As for myself, I’m on the tail end of the first week of the diet and I’m absolutely dying here. I’ve done bodyopus years back with great success, I also did the Anabolic diet and that worked great too. But this time I’ve put on a lot… probably the most fat ive ever been, just really lost control and stopped eating healthy, going out drinking 3-4 nights a week, burgerking, carl juniors, ect. So I figured something like this might help me get that weight off quick so I can get serious again into eating healthy and living a healthier lifestyle.

Anyways, back when I was doing BO and TAB I would eat little to no veggies and just took a fiber supplement. I actually found it extremely easy to stay on the diet and enjoyed every min of it (especially a dozen powdered donuts for breakfast saturday morning lol). The high fat meats really kept me satisfied.

This week I have been eating basically nothing but egg whites, chicken breast, tuna, protein powder, broccoli, cucumbers and celery. And man I feel like a zombie. Its like my mind is playing tricks on me trying to convince me I’m going to die of hunger, or I can feel my bicepts melting away. lol.

I weighed in at 220 before I started. Bodyfat around 20%. I’m a big guy but I’ve never actually got ripped, my arms, chest, legs, back, all get striated but I’ve never once got rid of that pudge under my bellybutton. I’m usually a good “lean” 190-200.

Anyways, I will keep you all posted, going to plan on adding another 200 cals of fat on mon-thurs to try and keep energy levels up in the form of olive oil and peanut butter.

Quick question - Any problem eating pickles on this diet? Would make a great easy snack.

pickles are safe…

But your not really ‘doing the RFL,’ if your adding stuff to it…know what I mean?

Thanks man.

Good luck with your diet, but as MiM mentioned try not to change it up too much. It works when you stick to it, even though sometimes you’d rather not.

If you really need the taste of peanut butter google PB2 from bell plantations. It’s powdered PB that you can add to things but 80% fewer calories.

Yep. I’ll try my best to do without it, maybe im setting calories a little too low or not eating enough carbs… I put a tablespoon of olive oil in my salad today, had a cut of lean pork instead of chicken breast, and ate a 28g block of cheese… and wow I feel much better. I woke up this morning with my jaw feeling like I went a few rounds with Tyson. I was so hungry I figured chewing gum would keep the cravings down but I chewed for so long now I’m worried I’m going to have overdeveloped jaw muscles.

I’ve dieted before as I said, but naturally I eat a lot. So eating this few calories is a pretty tall order. Maybe I’ll get more strict once I get used to it.

Your protein is the bulk of your calories, beyond that you get green veggies and fish oil caps.

You might have dieted before but have you ever RFL’d before? That is the question, ha.

Maybe a more moderate approach to establish good habits again?

Here’s my attempt at a side chest from today.

I think this is the end of week 10.

dude! Thats awesome…

I hope to have as noticeable progress…not posting until I have some comparison shots though.

Thanks, I’m sure you’ll kick ass on the diet!

Chim, you are practically disappearing! Keep up the great work hot stuff!

Chim- what is your training like during this? Do you adhere to the tbt Lyle suggests?
That’s the way I’ve been training for over a year now…gasp I want to make the change towards two upper/lower days/week…not sure if now is the time…

The transition isn’t as big as you think. Do it. That’s what she said. No, but really, do it.

Well I’m in to my second week and it’s just melting off. Lot easier to handle this time, i worked on the food. One of my big mistakes I think was just going raw food the first week. Made it really hard to stomach. This week I’m busting out the spices, marinades, charcoal, ect and making the food taste the best I can without adding more calories, and its working well. Back when I did bodyopus I remember sticking to it for months, once I got in the groove it just felt natural, I started believing I was a natural Carnivore.

And yeh I’ll remind myself next time how bad the first week sucks. lol.

JUST DO IT!

LM- thanks, I think I’ll keep things the same for now, at least for a little while. I’m selfish with my time, and now that the kids are back to school, I like having quiet mornings at home or going out for walks while the weather isn’t freezing just yet. What is your training like? I guess I could go peek in your log

Skank- congrats for making it through the first week! I feel like an old pro at this haha… your ideas for ‘spicing things up,’ sound good.

To me, this diet serves as an important reminder that you gotta eat lean to GET lean…even AFTER I’m done. I wasn’t dealt the best genetic cards. I can build muscle ok I think, but if I even LOOK at pasta or other goodies I gain 8 pounds. mmmmm, pasta

Well my training is geared somewhat towards powerlifting since I’ll be competing in my first meet late Nov. That being said, it’d probably be the same even if I was cutting down since I’ve found that for my body, if I’m not lifting heavy while cutting I lose a significant amount of muscle. But feel free to go check out my log, it’s a bit off/on as far as my updating goes, usually end up just logging everything once a week. Plus you get to see videos of me (even a really really bad posing thing that I put up in RMP a few years back that is somewhere in the middle of the log).

I hate not being in the gym so I’ve been doing 4 sessions a week instead of 2. Monday legs/Wednesday shoulders/ Friday back and legs/ Sunday chest.

I do one main lift followed by accessory work. About 3 sets per lift, rep ranges vary. If you want more detail I can pull out my log (heyo!).

MiM, your talk of broccoli in the TK thread made me think I should post something in here. Granted it’s not broccoli, but… If you chop up a head of cauliflower, put it through the food processor and microwave for six minutes you get a pretty good “rice” that you can have with you protein.

yes, I know the cauli trick…you can also blend it up to make ‘mashed potatos.’

I don’t get that desperate. My food is very boring on this diet, lol…I don’t care. It’s not forever.

LM- posing huh?

I just had raw shredded cabbage with tuna(w/ salt, lemon juice and wasabi paste,) yum!

that could be good with ground ginger as well…or the whole pieces of ginger you can find in the asian food section)

oh and some soy sauce…if you pretend it kinda taste like sushi  If you like sushi anyway.
