you sounds like Forest Gump

“popcorn shrimp, jumbo shrimp, shrimp cocktail, shrimp gumbo…”

Not really hellish, just bored. And I don’t think I’m going to get ‘rapid,’ results from this. If I’m only going to lose 1-2lbs a week(average) why not just eat a tad more and do more activity? :shrugs: I think I had this same convo last time I attempted this.
I told myself I would stick to it for at least for 4-6 weeks…its not forever! [/quote]

You make a good point about getting to eat more, even if it does mean cardio.

any white fish is pretty awesome as well…

I cover mine with ginger, garlic, lemon and douse it with teriyaki…wrap in foil, throw it in the oven and let it bake away…pretty damn tasty!

Shrimp the same way. Another thing to try is those flavoring extracts, (that come in a little bottle in the baking section). I used coconut once and it was GOOD!

Chim- ya, it’s a good point, but would I actually DO the cardio?? probably not, haha! Don’t get me wrong, I love hiking and biking and all that stuff. But I don’t do it to lose weight.
So here I stay. In the future, to afford some not so strict eating on occasion, I’ll probably have to throw in some formal cardio somewhere.

You could do what I’ve been doing and add in little circuits at the end of your workout. Usually just some variation of whatever I trained that day.

That’s what I do for “cardio”… I absolutely hate doing any sort of extended “cardio.” I haven’t gone for a run in like 8 months (since I was in the military) and it is awesome! Haha I’ve got a set of weighted jump ropes and I’ll do a quick jump rope, burpee, sprint circuit after my workout. Or just sets of weighted burpees (my new favorite but they’re absolutely terrible lol) for cardio.

Way better than lame and boring steady state. The only SS cardio I can handle is the stairmaster and that’s like 20 minutes max.

thats how I do train already.(when I’m not dieting)

it’s all diet…I couldn’t out train it so I gained back a few on top of the 10 I was wanting to lose.

1st day down, wasn’t too hard. I might have gone over my calories by about 2.5 oz of lean beef, but I don’t think that that’ll derail me too much or be a problem in the long run.

In the meantime, here’s my starting picture.

Chim, you need a slideshow type thing or a bunch of side-by-side shots edited together of your first start point to now, and then eventually your finish point.

That’s a good idea, I’ll work on that once I finish.

Ground turkey+ salsa is pretty good.

I ate all but 2 oz of the package…The package says there is 4 servings, ha!

Hmmm, that does sound good.

Actually, I had some time between class so I made a side by side. This is done in paint so forgive me if it’s not all professional looking. I’ll add in my final shot once I get there.

pile it on top of romaine lettuce and it’s even better!

Feeling extra hungry today and in the past that usually meant I was getting ready to ‘whoosh.’

Sam- Congrats on day 1!

Good job on getting your first day down, and props for putting up a pic.

Dinner.

I had a lot more cauliflower though…

Not sure how much fat was in the little beef chunks, but I had about 4oz worth. It didn’t seem as fatty as fitday is telling me. Of well, better to have gone over in fat with beef than with cheesecake…mmmmmm, cheesecake

I need a kick in the pants!

This diet isn’t going how I would like…
It would be different if I were seeing visual changes just by looking. The instant results that this diet offers is motivational…but I’m not seeing it.

I think this diet was awesome when I had a significant amount of weight to lose (30+lbs) but now that I am in the 10-15lb range of my goal weight, it’s been rough. VERY mentally draining. It’s not even a hunger issue. Just eating the same things everyday and not training how I want, for what? To lose a lb/week??

I will weigh in and take measurement/pics tomorrow and let that be the judge…pictures don’t lie!! After that I might give it two more weeks. This is my 3rd week.

Well, I reread some of the ebook, specifically about the veggies. I AM that person that could eat a few pounds worth of veggies in one day. Matter of fact I ate a head of cauli yesterday, while I was making dinner for the kids and some with dinner:o

I hate to limit my veggie intake but I will keep a closer eye on it. Other than that, I can’t think of anything else that would hinder progress. Maybe take it down a notch with the training??
I need to read up on refeeds again next…

Anxious to see what my results are in the morning!

btw, I made my kid mac n cheese for lunch…do you know how HARD it was to not just stand over the stove and shovel it in?! lol

Tomorrow is a refeed…can’t wait anymore.

Does anyone else find it pretty hard to get through the weekends? I make my refeeds on Thursday or Friday cause I lift during the week…and its hard to get back on track through the weekend with the kids home etc…guess its just one of those things.
