So I picked up the RFL book today, and I’m keen to get going on it because I’m good with “sprint dieting”.
My biggest question so far is for the people who are kinda busy with their lives… How do you prepare so much food? At 220g protein per day, I’m looking at like… 2 lbs of meat per day. I’m in grad school and prefer being able to cook 4-5 days’ worth of food at once, but I need some advice from people who know what they’re doing.

I use a lot of shakes. Sorry that that’s probably unhelpful.
what kind of meat? Why not just pick a day that you have a couple hours and cook up a few days worth of food. I buy packages of chicken and put them in there own individual freezer bags. there is always a pack of ground turkey thawing in the fridge…and cans of tuna are awesome.

Wouldn’t you be making less food that usual? I’m assuming most people on T-Nation eat ~220g of protein a day, at least.

Not so much, I’ve done the V-Diet before. I was going to try to stick to 1 shake per day, but if that’s really the way to do it, I could probably work in 2 shakes, dropping me to only about 1 lb of meat per day… Less if I do an omelet.
@mom-in-MD
Anything, really… And right now my best way to cook 10+ lbs of food is oven roasting due to fairly limited kitchen space. If I had some other ideas, I could try other things or adapt them to suit my needs better. Tonight, I thawed/cooked 3 lbs of chicken breast and about 3 lbs of an eggplant, yellow squash, mushroom stir fry.
@Vic
The big thing is the very low fat/calories in general on the RFL. I can swing by Burger King (conveniently located between me and ALL of my classes) and get like 2-3 buck doubles and toss the buns for a fast, cheap meal. If I’m going to blow $4 on a tiny chicken sandwich, I might as well just make my own chicken where I’ll get more food for cheaper.
I had a half hearted refeed yesterday. I wasn’t hungry or wanting anything in particular. I think I’m going to stop taking this supp I got.
it’s working a little too well.Blunts the hunger and gives me energy, but I wake up so parched(I drink a gallon+ a day) and brain fuzzy until I take the stupid pill again.

I feel like death again today. Plan is to refeed on Sunday, then go the full twelve days and see where I’m at.
My brain is also fuzzy.
Are you taking any stims? HOT-ROX or an EC stack? My only recommendation would be to make sure you’re drinking a lot of water. That always helped me. I drink at least a gallon a day but when I was on the RFL I was drinking 2 gallons or so. Sucks when you have to pee all the time but makes you less hungry and feeling better cause you’re more hydrated… Well it did with me anyway

I don’t tolerate HRX or Ephedrine very well, so no.
I have been taking about a gram of caffeine a day, however.

x2 and electrolytes seem to help the fuzzy feeling too.

Have you had a free meal yet, Chim?
Have you tried using a plain old EC stack?
Yup, bronkaid, primatene etc. It definitely seems to make a big difference and it’s cheap with no sides (in my limited experience).

I remember back in the day when ephedra was still on the shelves…
My go to supp was Xenadrine! I think I got dependant on those suckers. Which is why I’d rather do without.
Although this supp I’m taking feels very familiar. In case your wondering it’s hydroxycut. I thought wth not, Jamie Eason endorses it, haha.
Too bad the old hydrxoycut got banned for having illegal things it. I hear it worked really well for fat loss, with some undesirable side effects like liver problems.
