Continuing on with radical policies, I am now a much firmer supporter of open carry. It is not something I choose to do, but I can now understand why someone might.
A gal roughly my age who lives downtown where the crazies now roam has begun open carrying, which I found surprising at first. I wouldn’t have even pegged her for a gun gal as she is a pretty chill massage therapist.
Her reason? She wants to be left the fuck alone and having a gun on her hip while she’s going about her business in town seems to achieve that.
I would have balked at such a suggestion 10 years ago, but not today. I can definitely understand the utility of open carry in that situation, and Maine’s gun laws are one of the only things left about the government that I support.
I’m not sure where you live, but I’m glad you don’t get your way there. We don’t need any more jerks ruining open carry for 43 year-old widows trying to not be harassed as they go about their lives.
I am pretty much against this from a fashion perspective. The fashion choices that would need be made to choose appropriate harness and holster and weapon for my clothing choice would get more complex. Do I want a more western look toting a six shooter? Or a modern military look? Or just a hint of open carry? A small unimposing look of a small semi-automatic? Or the in-your-face look of an Uzi and multiple clips boldly exposed.
I already have too many fashion decisions to make now. Open Carry might be too much for me to handle without a personal fashion consultant.
@FlatsFarmer you seen Day of the Dead the one made by George Romero with the military operation underground, if so, Rose that’s how I’d dress up in public, HA!
I hope your not a anti slow zombie guy, those people can’t see the greatness of riding your chopper through a mall with sledgehammers and machetes whacking out zombies, Tom Savini was the fuking man in that movie,
And they were driving big rigs around plowing into them.
@zecarlo does it annoy you that Goodfellas glorified being made as “untouchable”, yet it shows Billy Bates supposedly a made guy (he might not of been) getting into an verbal altercation in front of his own crew, then he decides to stay at the lounge with people associated with the person he had an altercation with by himself.
These are the details more important than spelling.
Are you in dream land? How does anything Hollywood or another fantasy land media actually have the ability to “annoy” anyone grounded in reality. My life is grounded in reality. I rarely care what Hollywood produces as if it impacts my life.
