Question about Chin Up

Hey guys, how are you??

I’m not a begginer per se, but I think this is a begginer question, so I came here.
I started doing chin up again and now I can only do 1 until I go to failure lol. Do you guys have a program I could use to develop my chin up until I can do at least 8 reps?

I looked at that article The Chin-Up Project but it’s a program for who can do a lot of chin up, not my case.

I know I’ll have to lose some weight if I wanna do that, I’m already on my way! Information about me (height, weight, body fat, …) can be found in my profile, hope it helps!

Thanks guys!!!

Find a bar that your feet can barely touch the ground, and give a slight jump with the legs to assist with the pull, then at the top, try to do a slow release down. You have to do quite a few of them, but the eccentric will definitely help.

I’m sure you can use the site search and just type in chin up and look at some programs. IMO just do chin-ups if you can only do 1 do 10 sets of 1 until you can do 2-3. Also are you on the heavy side if so that might be a reason why you can only do 1. Just don’t overthink it.

Great articles and a huge help with pull ups. Thought there was going to be a third installment having to do with progression for weighted pull ups but it never came to be.

Hey guys, really thank you for the reply! I’ve done my reasearch with your help and did a program for me. I’ll try it out for 2 or 3 months and monthly update here.
