Pull- Ups/Over 250lbs

Ok yesterday’s training was rough did shoulders, traps and tris.
I spent longer than usual in the gym because I’m taking the next two days off. Then I have a week long deloading period.
I used some mountain dog lifts with some of my usual stuff. Wow I like mountain dog.

Shoulders

Incline (facing the bench) reverse flyes dumbbell
Went heavy low swings then half the weight full rom.

5x12 each low swing and full rom

Dumbbell lateral raises
Heavy low swings, full rom, then manual reps.

5x12 on each, manual reps to failure

Shoulder press smythe very light

5x20 for pump

Lateral raises machine
Had lifting partner put manual resistance on pads for 10 then till failure with the weight

5 x10 then failure

Reverse cable flyes
High to low 3x10
Low to high 3x10

Traps

Smythe high rows

5x12

Superset with one hand shrugs (smythe)

5x12 each side

Triceps

Straight bar push downs

5x10

Overhead straight bar extensions

5x8-12

Dips

5x6

Skull crushers neutral grip dumbbells

6x10

Close grip diamond push ups

1set restpause to 100

Dc stretch

Best shoulder work out ever. Bless u mountain dog

Its funny how similar are training methods are now except your volume is still quite a bit higher, but then your quite a bit bigger then me. At least it gives me confidence Im doing something right lol. Keep doing what your doing man, glad to have you here

ok i didnt start the deloading phase today because i was wanting to try something on legs.

quads

leg ext

4x25

leg press

10x8-15

smythe machine squats with medicine ball between legs

5x8-12

adductor machine

10x10

then i tried to squat for 2 minutes straight
made it 1:45 then waited 5 min and tried again. made it 1:30.

leg ext 4x25

thats it the 2 min squat was fun.

Tankman, just out of curiousity:

Why do you use a third ball between your legs during SS-s? Are they there for forcing the knees out or for activating the adductors, or for increasing the badass factor?

By the way, my tip is on adductors by the 10setsof10 that you did after.

But is this a deload? Awesome quantity of work, lotta volume! Geez :o)

You’re a beast man, do you have the capability to do bids? It’d be cool to see some bids of you getting after it… This thread would be like MarauderMeats thread.

I came across this thread because im bored, n this stupid hurricane jacked up the power at my spot… But i figured i would comment about ur shoulder pain. I dunno if it was answered for i since i only read the 1st 3 pages. But they just put out a article in the T-Nation email letter. But the article talkws about doing pullups and how when doing wide grip it is usually the fact thay u r using a fixed bar. Pulling up with a fixed grip torques the elbows making it PAINFULL! so the person suggested doing ur overhand pullups on rings. And being heavier it is as if you r doing a shit ton of volume. (even tho ur not) that is probably what ur problem is! I am big n heavy as well, im 6’6" 290lbs and i got long arms giving me elbow n shoulder problems as well when i do pullups. But try a pullup using something that can let u have a natural motion. The article for the url is

Just kept going till 100 took multiple sets

Keg/tire tosses
Front to back

Collapsed in the gym
Felt alot better.
