I love the prowler, it is an excellent tool for conditioning but can it be used as a “lift” for assistance with the squat and deadlift? I was thinking that after squat day do 10 or 12 heavy pushes and on deadlift day 10 or 12 heavy backwards pushes to hammer the hamstrings. Thoughts?
I would say absolutely!
Depending on the distance 10-12 may be a bit much…maybe more on the conditioning side than strength.
But that is up to you and your goals.
I added pushes and pulls the day after my lower body lifts and it has helped with recovery and strength.
Yes. This is discussed in the Beyond 5/3/1 book that is sold here on TNation.
