Hey. Would loaded carries be a reasonable substitute for prowler conditioning work? I have no access to a prowler at my gym, and I do want some sort of conditioning which compliments power work.
I’m currently doing two 30min LISS conditioning sessions a week, usually weighted vest walks, but I seem to be losing a bit of explosiveness the more low intensity stuff I do. I used to do one LiSS, and one higher intensity session like hill sprints. It worked well enough, but my recovery was a little off. I’m looking for a compromise between too little intensity and too little recovery now. I think loaded carries might be the answer, potentially. My goals are strength and power for competitive powerlifting, and I want my cardio sessions to give me a reasonable base of conditioning, and to help with keeping body fat reasonably low.
