Pretty Little Hate Machine

A few things…

 1. Nice vein in the side of your head.

 2. I never realized how flat the top of your head is.

3.You looked like you were going to die, are you ok?

Damn, Joe. That’s a lot of chest work. I’m hurtin’ for you.
I think I’m going to feel it in my shoulders more than anywhere else.

Do you bring the bar down to your chest on BB inclines?
I, myself, don’t do BB inclines. It destroys my shoulders. But I think that is more a function of the pathetic bench I have for incline work.
If I remember correctly, though, I hit my chest, back when I used to do them. But I had to bow my chest out to do so. Otherwise, the bar got out in front of me and ended up in my lap. And that was with a pretty steep incline. A lower incline might make it easier.
I don’t do inclines above 45 degrees. Might as well do military presses above that.

Really great vids Joe. I agree with DCA on the angle of the inclines. I bring the bar down really high, right below my chin.

I believe its 45 degrees, its fixed so there no changing it either way.

I may have to try that, it feel funny bringing it down all the way to my chest.

I love coming back to strip sets  but really the determination while doing your floor presses was awesome.
good work Joe, and L7 ftw.

Well teh strip sets for t-bars are probably something you are going to see a lot of. Filming them gives me a little extra umph because I don’t want visual evidence of sucking.

Gym screwed me Friday and I didn’t get to do my Leg day… Life screwed me today so I got nothing done either so tomorrow I have to do Leg day and GPP on the same day, God Help.

I was told today that I look like a D2 linebacker. Not sure if it was a compliment or not.

Compliment. Better than being called a distance runner. Was she cute?

Just an old friend who hadn’t seen a pic in a while.

Leg Day

Back Squat

5x135, 3x185, 3x205, 1x225, 1x245, 1x255

Front Squats

8x95, 5x115, 3x135

HS Seated Leg Press

12x360, 8x410, 8x460, 360 rest paused 16,6,4= 26

LF Leg Presses

12x230, 12x270, 12x310, 12x350, 12x390

Squats were a little high but given my recent back issues I’ll take it. Front squats continue to feel like I’m going to choke my self. So far the back feels fine.

Youtube is fucking me on the video of my 255 squat so until I get it figured out have a video of the damn leg presses. Yeah its boring as hell but I find that by videoing them and posting them I’m vain enough to grind out more reps.

Craptastic 255 squat, wayyy to high.

Looked really light for you, the way it came back up.

What ever pushes you to grind out those last few reps is fair game. I beleive someone might have mentionned this before but have you tried playing with your hand position on the bar for the front squats? the oly style also makes me feel “chokey” but the crossed arms doesn’t.

Good vids. Can’t really tell from the angle but it looks like you have about a medium width foot placement on your squats. Nothing wrong with that but if your looking for a big squat might want to spread you feet out more.
