question: is it normal for the box squat to be weaker than the squat? (I’m assuming your hitting respectable depth and all of course)… just curious.
These box squats are a little high on purpose. The weight on these was low beacuse I haven’t been doing them and I wanted to make certain I didn’t end up on youtube because my original assement was too optimistic.
I’m adding the box squats because, at the risk of sounding like an utter tool, I’m tired of having skinny legs and I’m hoping more squats will be the key to making the grom.

I am the original chicken leg gym guy right now.
Not sure how that would make you sound like a tool. I think anyone who wants to be strong wants to look strong as well. And, for what it’s worth, you don’t have chicken legs…lol. But I completely understand what you are saying. I go through the same thing over my legs and non-existent biceps.

Not only is superchicken bigger than me, his knee wraps have the same effect as mine.
I may have to switch to pork BBQ to start hitting PR’s. Looks like its working pretty good for you Joe. I assume the BBQ sauce is taken orally?
Yep but remember you need to do Fried chicken Post BBQ Cycle Treament to bring back you natural fat levels.

Yeah I wnt to be strong and look strong. Not so concerned about abs but I would like visible muscle at the very least.

That’s pretty much what I am looking for. I carried so much extra weight, for so long, that if I get too thin, I get wrinkly excess where my abs are supposed to be. I would settle for a relatively flat abdomen with obvious boundaries between bis, tris, delts and traps.
In the right light, under the right strain, doing the right exercise you can see the separation between my anterior, medial and posterior delts. It would be nice to see that without having to hire a hollywood lighting crew.

If I close my eyes, I can picture that. Does that work for you?
Very soon I will want to drop some fat but I’m enjoying the food based PR’s.
Once again - nice work with the PRs.
I hear you on the “food-based” PRs. I think after my meet I’m gonna tighten up the diet (mostly cut out the non-food value liquid calories) and hopefully cut my belly fat back.
I finally figured it out. You’re eatin that chicken with all the steriods in it and it’s turning you into a monster. Your bench is coming along real good. Weren’t you stuck right above 200 a while back? Now you’re hittin PRs on CGBs the same day as on milies. Got ta be the chicken. Great lifting. Look out Col Sanders, here I come.
