I read alot trough forum (this and other sites) and i guess i could get best answer here.
After reading “Anabolic Diet” book from dr. DiPasquale i decided to lower my BF with this diet + fcourse workouts.
Only thing that i dont understand is that i read on one local forum that its not recomended to drink protein shake in post workout meal. Is this true?!?
Reason (from that writter) why it shouldnt be done is that taking fast absorbing protein after heavy workout will make body use that same protein as energy source and put user out of katogenic state.
thats stupid. that is the exact reason why you would want to take a protein shake immediately after weight training. the fast absorption gets it in the muscle fast.
There is a huge anabolic diet thread in nutrition and fitness, you will probably find an answer there.
That said, you don’t want a “just protein” shake PWO. Make a shake with whey and water, but add heavy cream, olive oil, or peanut butter, whatever tastes best to you.
