Simple Carbs and Fast protein such as Surge sold here. Then 30-45mins later food.

If you cant get Surge skim milk can be an OK replacement.

For fast acting carbs just eat some sort of fruit. A banana or apple will do just fine. As for the protein, just eat anything. It has never been proven that consuming proteins that digest faster actually help you to build muscle better. Or so i read in a mens health book, not sure if it was hard body plan, or testosterone advantage plan. Just eat a banana and a can of sardines.

Never been proven huh? Also- do you honestly believe that PWO nutrition is intended to help you “build muscles”?

PWO is for recovery, and your logic doesn’t make much sense Dan. From a logical standpoint the faster you get your body what it needs, the faster, and better your recovery will be. Am I wrong? A faster digesting protein will be absorbed… well faster therefore your body is getting what it needs
sooner, thus speeding recovery.

I have a 30 minute drive home from the gym so I take a scoop of whey in a shaker cup and stop at a gas station right after I leave the gym and buy a chocolate milk to mix with it. Sometimes I will even take honey with me and chug a little bit of that with my PWO drink.

About 45 minutes to 1 hour after my post workout drink I will have my meal.

If you can’t get your hands on some whey then just get some chocolate milk and a nanner or an apple.

I usually have a scoop of whey in water and then have 5 packages of smarties, which is about 30 grams of dextrose. Smarties could be an easy option.
