Sorry man just saw thing. I will do 1 cap AM and 1 cap PM.
I will dose longer depending on medical circumstance though, but to maintenance I do the above.
Fenugreek will change both acute and chronic insulin sensitivity. But you have to be lean enough (both overall and site specific) for long enough for it to be re-set to that point. ie 2 weeks of low carb wont change long term sensitivity, 2 years will.
Thanks for the info. Seem to be back on track now but I’m not sure I will ever see such immediate dramatic results again. Plan is to rotate various insulin improving supplements.
bump
Hips, is the company making Poliquin supplements called Metagenics ?
Has anyone seen the studies this whole system is based on?
I’ve never seen any and I’d be interested to read some.
One of em
There are others, or at least there were, but were narrowed down after the switch. Some companies make similar products to what PG sells but change the formula slightly for legal/practice reasons or because PG wants something else in it they believe will work better. Ive met and worked with some of the people in companies like that and its bananas
The actual details of the systems origins are pretty hidden, but it is based off legit science all the way back to 1930’s. The whole story about how Charles came about it is nuts. What’s crazier is it didn’t set him apart in the S&C game or nutrition. Its just a tool he was using. When you learn biosig you kind of sit there going, “why the fuck isn’t everyone using this, it makes so much sense!” Cause there was (don’t know about now) tons of research that came with it when he presented it. Slides of studies after studies. And that’s at least how I first felt. I think now its a 3 day course, when it used to be 5 and longer. I don’t know how they’ve dialed it down, or how Bioprint has exactly changed. Charles does keep a lot hidden, unfortunately, but what is out there is enough to do awesome stuff. That’s why it kind of cracks me up when people say “biosig doesn’t work.” But like anything else its based on actually science and data, but in the wrong hands is useless.
yeah it’s the hidden aspect that makes me raise an eyebrow. I’ll do some research into it.
Has anyone tried the water/lime/sea salt drink in the morning ? I have been at it for about a week now and can’t say that I notice much of anything yet.
what kind of results are you expecting? it’s just salt and lime
To wake up shredded, jk. I guess it’s to help with cortisol and help heal the adrenals.
Bump.
Anything new with you guys ?
About two weeks ago I attended a Muscle Nerds Fatloss seminar taught by Luke Leaman who is running that show plus was the dude who took over for Charles after his exile. TOOONNNSS of information and a lot of discussion of behind the scenes poliquin info but never in a shit talking way but more from an education information stand point. Like what they have to adjust for biosig to teach masses rather than working one on one in an internship like manner for months/years. Hes got a pretty cool facebook and the seminar was outstanding. Very biochem orientated but also cut right to what is useful and what doesn’t really work. Pretty crazy amount of information. I am still going through my notes.
Sounds interesting, what new info has this guy added to the mix ?
It is an excessive amount that I could begin to even type out but top subjects included:
- what works great and what doesn’t work at all in biosig/print
- fatloss is primarily about energy production and that most people have difficulty losing actual bodyfat because their bodies no longer work correctly enough to make or use energy correctly (don’t think calories though)
- stress…a LOT of it was about stress.
- Training and stress adaptations
- biochem and fatloss
- metabolic dysfunction
and a whole bunch more. Pretty awesome stuff that I am just getting around to figure out how to plug it in for clients.
Just spent 9 days with Charles in Perth. First 6 was all on Kinetic Chain Enhancement, going over soft tissue treatment and a whole host of other tricks to increase performance. Last 3 days was his Advanced Program Design seminar, which uses neurotransmitter profiling to determine optimal training programs for clients. Really bridged the gap for a lot of us. Feel free to ask any questions on this.
Hi hotdog,
Can you show us how is a 7 day cleanse now for Poliquin - Bioprint?. Several years ago, in Poliquin tips he showed each day but the list of supps was very high.
Seems he uses now design for health.
Can you show example?.
Regards.
This what not touched on at the bioprint seminar we were at. But I have done a cleanse based on the reccomendations of DR Rober Rakowski. More info can be found here Detoxification/Cleanse Protocol | PDF | Detoxification (Alternative Medicine) | Butter
I used mine for Estrogen detoxification, could not have been happier with the results. Greatest thing I found to improve was alertness, not just during but afterwards.
