I should also mention that a little over a month ago, besides switching from plastic to glass Tupperware, i also stopped using none-stick pans and started using a cast-iron pan.
These 2 changes i believe led to my hamstring fold falling significantly despite not getting leaner overall.
I feel like im making progress and getting a bit leaner even though its only been 1.5 weeks
I have never done a pure hypertrophy program before. The DOMS is pretty cool, but its weird as I usually get DOMS around 16 hours after workouts, but on this program the worst DOMS doesnt usually start until almost 36-48 hours. Strange.
Seems like my hams, calves and pecs get DOMS around 12-16 hours later, but quads and back seem to take much longer. Wonder why that is, must have something to do with muscle types.
Anyways, another 2.5 weeks left on the 4 week plan, then another bio-sig. hope to be in the 12% range @ at least 200#
So I’ve been taking the Methylator Plus, and eating asparagus for my main veggie intake the past two days. My piss doesn’t smell anymore! That’s got to be a good sign, I’m guessing I’m utilizing my B vitamins better or something?

I made some pretty great gains on my hypertrophy program, but unfortunatly, 7 days before my skin-folds were scheduled, i got the flu, or food poisoning or something, and my body went to shit.
its been 4 days now and today i finally felt well enough to leave the house for some reason besides getting medicine from the drug-store.
I cancelled my bio-sig appointment since im scared to see where im at. i havent had this kind of sickness in my whole life before and it really sucks because i was looking the leanest i had ever looked since i was like 165lbs in high-school.
anyways. im going to end my hypertrophy plan a few workouts early as I dont think i the extream volume is do-able right now as im still not 100% recovered. Instead im going to start my intensification phase which ill run for 4 weeks. at the end of that ill get my skin-folds taken again and see were i am in regards to my 10% @ 200lbs goal for june 26th.
after the intensification phase ill go back to a high volume body-builderish accumulation phase again (might even repeat my last program since i think i was really successful before the illness.
Quite depressing actually to lose all that hard work in only a few days. Hopefully ill bounce back quickly
I wrote my own 12 week plan leading up to my goal (10% @ 200lbs) at June 26th.
Ill be using lots of super-sets, and relatively short rest periods and enhanced eccentrics.
Ill also be alternating between intensification (low volume) and accumulation (high volume) every 3 week and to avoid over-training or burning out, every 3rd week will be only 60% of the volume as the previous 2 weeks.
I think this will be my best program yet, and as long as i dont get sick again, i think i have a good chance of making my goal!
i got a good chunk of the ideas for the program from the “5 Elements” article
If you’re wanting to get your hamstring even lower quick, put a water filter on your shower head, use a Brita pitcher, and use fluoride free toothpaste. Other than that, it looks like you’ve got every thing covered. Great progress!

Thanks for the advice, I already have a great water-fliter and use fluoride free toothpaste, but i hadnt thought of the shower head. Ill definatly look in to that.
I have 2 workouts left in the first of 4, 3 week phases in my 12 week program. So far im pretty happy with the results in the gym, my strength has improved pretty noticeably in just 2.5 weeks and my ability to recover from the short rest between sets had improved considerably as well. Ill finish my first Accumulation phase (high reps, long TUT, short rest periods) on Firday and get my body-fat tested on Saturday to see the progess (ill get it tested every 3 weeks on this program). Come Monday I will start phase 2 which is Intensification (lots of sets, lower reps, longer rest periods)
Im certainly leaner then when i started, although to be honest i was in my worst shape in a long while due to being really really sick for 2+ weeks so im sure any program would have made some difference.
I think I have also discovered that dairy is not my friend, even organic. I looked really awesome (by my standards) after week 1, but then i started adding in a decent amount of greek yoghurt and I started to look worst despite the training staying at a high level. I have cut it back out now and Im starting to look better again. No more dairy for the next 9.5 weeks.

i’m a BioSig practitioner and it’s something that has worked well for myself & my clients. I got mine at Home Depot for around $20.

Picked this up today, do you think its something I might notice right away? or will it take a few weeks?

A shower filter will lower the hamstring pinch ?
Does this have something to do with chemicals in tap water ?
Also, fluoride in toothpaste adds to the hamstring pinch as well ?[/quote]
I believe that the fluoride and chlorine etc… in water is just another thing that needs to be cleared by the body, so it makes sense to me that reducing the chemicals that enter the body from a shower/drinking water would allow the body/liver to focus on more serious things.
not quite as good as i was hoping, but my body-fat percentage is back down to where it was before i got sick for almost 3 weeks. so now any improvements will get me to a new level of leanness.
10.5 weeks left to go, will have to drop 3.8% body fat with out loosing more then 3lbs to get to my goal. gona be hard, but as long as i can stay healthy and eat super clean etc… then i think i can give it a damn good run.
Pec was down to 4mm today. which is the lowest ever, and over the last 4 months its gone from my second worst site to one of my best! feels+looks great considering it was as high as 15mm in the past!
