I went to the Poliquin website and used their chat function to get advice. The only answer I got was, that thyroid issues could stem from mineral deficiencies. But they had no specific supplement to suggest.
things like Iodine, Tyrosine, forskolin, Bacopa, Selenium and guggulsterones are all common mineral/nutrients to supplement with if someone has a thyroid issue.
AOR has a very good looking thyroid product that you can look at. Im sure many other companies have similar products. maybe try switching to sea-salt with iodine or another food source to get more iodine before shelling out money one supplements.

With the hamstring the first thing you gotta do is stop xeno-estrogens from coming in. Your biosig practitioner should have some good tips for this.
After that zinc will be your best friend.
Then you need to address the basics for detox: vitamin D and if you need it, additional B vitamins.
Here’s an easy way to see if you need more B vitamins: eat asparagus - if you smell it in your pee after you’re not utilizing B vitamins properly (genetic defect). Use Poliquins Methylator 4.0 to get extra B’s that will kickstart the detox process.
My pee has always smelled after eating asparagus so I’m assuming I have this genetic defect as well (I have read about it, forget the name). Is there any long-term solution to this, other than always have to take a methylator product?

I believe the body stores B vitamins very well. once levels are high enough it should stay that way for quite some time.

Is this “smelling of pee” after eating asparagus lead to a long term health problem ?
If someone suffers from this, can there be some kind of long term harm if they don’t take a methylator ?
i believe I read an article by Poliquin that said people with poor methylation have an increased chance of Alzheimers, but i have no idea if thats ever been proven or not

When using the poliquin and/or peterson step-up to increase VMO strength, what is the standard height?
My understanding with this is, the highest the step-height, the higher up on the thigh the focus is.
A low step would focus lower on the the thigh, more likely by the knee.
Thanks, I spoke with a level 3 poliquin dude yesterday and he said the slant board should be one a 4 inch platform. he said one should aim for a poliquin step-up to be 30% of ones back squat 1RM using a weight-vest, dumbbells or a combination for 8 reps
just a note, I’m getting chiropractic services done by one of the best in Chicago and he has two offices, one of them is in the same building as Poliquin’s center. Cool stuff seeing all that equipment in person.

If you are getting ART done, I think you will like it. Not when they are doing it, because it’s pretty painful, but the results after are astounding. I have it done on both of my rotator cuffs, and with nothing else was able to add 3 pullups to my max. Also had it on my hip flexors, rectus femoris, and my running strides were smoother and better.
got my skin-folds taken this morning, will up-data again when i get the final results.
From what i remembered I am up 3 lbs from 204 to 207.
most things are up or down by 0.5mm the biggest increase is in the triceps by around 1mm, but im pretty happy as my hamstring FINALLY took a big drop, from 20 down to 16 so that’s great!
I think changing my lunch containers from plastic to glass really helped
My guess is that my total body fat% will be almost exactly the same from the last time, or maybe down SLIGHTLY, which i would be just fine with considering the weight-gain and the fact that my last program was for strength, NOT for fat loss.
I went from 204 and 13.5% to 207 and 13.8%. Basically i gained exactly 2lbs of lean mass and also gained exactly 1lb of fat mass.
Im satisfied with this as my goal was to get stronger (which i did) while maintaining my body-fat. I think i lost some muscle in my arms so in the future i might run this program again but add a little direct arm work.
Im pretty happy. on another note my hypertrophy program i wrote, i gave to a friend 4 weeks ago and he went from 185 and 12.5 to 184 and 9.6! so im pretty motivated to do that program. ill start in 7 days.
P.S.
my hamstring is FINALLY not my worst site anymore. its now my Calves at 8.9 gota work on going to sleep a little earlier i think.
Was disapointed in the incline press as i had done 230 for a double about a week earlier, but i guess today wasnt my day.
Front squat was better, my all time best when i was competing in Weightlifting was 152.5 @ 97kg, so to get 150 @ 92kg was pretty decent esp since i dont train front squat nearly as often as i used to. I was very happy that my upper-back didnt round very much at all on my front squats as they used to be my weak link, my knee (which i had tears in) also felt great and very strong.
Are you addressing any specific issues ?
Nope. It’s all pretty standard stuff, anyway. Q10 known for health benefits, Mag/Zinc/fish oil self-explanatory, vitamin E because I’m guessing I don’t get enough of it, and ALCAR before my workouts.
edit: keep in mind this is all stuff I normally take (except the vitamin E), just from different brands (Biotest or otherwise).
I was taking Elitepro Minerals so I wonder if I’ll notice a difference without taking chromium daily, which is in it. Doubt I’ll notice anything.
