Has anyone experimented with cold showers? Back when I played football in college, we would do contrast showers, alternating between 1 min hot water, 1 min cold. yes, i usually do this for my morning shower as its great for recovery and the bursts of cold water really gets you nice and awake for the day!

I would do ice baths if I could, but contrast showers do wondersssssss for recovery.
Hey guys, got my urine test for heavy metals back, turns out im very high in both mercury and lead, my levels of cadmium and arsenic are fairly low. So i will be getting a shot every 2 weeks as well as detox pills for free through the company. Should have my levels down significantly with in 3 months according to the doctor.
I will also be starting the zinc tally loading protocol on Monday.
wow!! That is some interesting feedback right there. Good luck with that. You sound like a classic Roman
Any indication of where all of that heavy metal intake could be/have come from??
Shots of what? Pills of who?
Good luck with the zinc tally protocol. Be prepared to have a hard-on all day. At least that was my result and I only drank 1/2 a bottle for giggles.

im sorry, i dont really know what you mean by “a classic Roman”
The pills are of DMSA and the injections are DMPS.
I should also note that the blood tests came back with a moderate allergic reaction to egg. So ill try to get ride of egg for a while or at least dramaticly lower my intake for at least a while.
Looking forward to trying the zinc protocol, having fatty pecs, thighs and arms for a dude is pretty lame.
My insulin sites are not to bad now and my GH and thyroid sites are also pretty decent, once i get my my T and E under control i think ill really start seeing much better results.
Is the zinc protocol listed on some website? I looked around and didn’t find much of anything. Also is taking a dosage that size even safe? Will you be taking a blood test prior to taking the protocol?

its suposed to indirectly, high zinc levels prevent conversion of E to T all other things being equal. so that means more T and less E which according the biosignature=leaner triceps, pecs and quads.

i dont believe its on the website at all.
to make it safer i will be taking a copper supplement with it to make sure the zinc doesnt mess up my copper levels.
My recommendation is dont supp copper. Coach says you cant deplete it because on chelate (shit) zinc will deplete the copper and you only need 2g of copper a day (which you can get from a good multivitamin) so it shouldnt be a problem. I just read a whole shit ton on copper poisoning so I dont suggest adding more.
Max- yeah it helps lower aromatizing (the enzyme that converts test into estrogen. It should bring down tri and pec sites and quads, i think it would have little effect on hams.
Yes it is safe, we havent seen anyone develop a problem from it and its only for 5 days.

I believe thats what he said, hard to tell sometimes with that accent
I also checked all of his supplements that contained zinc and none of them are zinc chelate. I checked the supplement that I used to take that gave me twitching (sign of copper depleting) and it contained 2 kinds of chelates.
I would stay away sure.

in Poliquin’s Uber Zinc, there is zinc aspartate and zinc orotate… isn’t those chelated?
Ok so here is the exact quote concerning this issue (I misquoted, my apologies):
“A question I get at a lot of seminars is: does a lot of zinc create a copper deficiency? Well, if you look in the literature yes you can create a copper dificiency if you take a lot of zinc but its a poorly absorbed zinc, zinc gluconate and how much did they take? They took 850-1000mg for a year to create the deficiency…Clinically I have never seen it, neither has Dr. Houston.”
have you had a zinc tally test done?
either way you are going to come up deficient. You cant go wrong really with 1 uberzinc in the am and 1 in the pm. You can also bump that up because it is a pretty cheap supp.
Yes, originally I read that you should take zinc on an empty stomach but this causes ill feelings. Most all vitamins are to be taken in the middle of the meal unless otherwise directed.
Of course dude - I loves to help
I am kinda excited to try this, because while I have done other protocols with great success, the Zinc protocol is one that I have not yet tried. I have always been disappointed with somewhat flabby pecs and arms, so I hope to see some good results. My love handles are still problematic, so I am going to go to try addressing the magnesium issue because I did Fenuplex, Insulinomics, and Fish Oil with good results but not to my satisfaction.
my advice to you Max is if you have a prowler or similar conditioning tool (sled maybe?), use it. I’ve always had problems with love handles, even if it’s clean carbs (while training with quite a lot of volume). They’ve started to disappear the last month from heavy prowler use, nearly every day (not to nausea). I don’t even worry about carbs anymore. I eat lots of protein, get in good fats, and eat lots of rice and sweet potatoes, and my waist is still getting leaner.
All it takes is 10 minutes of the prowler 4-5x a week. No supplement use either (fenuplex, insulowhatever, etc).
