Poliquin Bio-signature

also im going to get some Cinnamon and/or apple cider vinegar caps (super cheep)

anyone know what amount i should be aiming for in those 2 supps for my after workout solid meal?

It makes sense to me, anyone else please chime in, that if you were to increase carbs like that that you should decrease fat intake…??
I thought you said sleep was good?
Whats going on with that?
If you rebounded in the hams department there may be something you are interacting with or consuming that is causing the estrogen spike. Same thing happen to me bro - I was making really good progress in the hormone dept all of a sudden I notice estrogen sites going up - I muscle tested myself and a new drink I bought that had a low dose of Maca didnt respond well with me. I feel ya on the frustration. Typically when that happens my assumption is that the supplement works really well at what it is suppose to do but the body is still having a problem and there is an outside factor that is instigating the E spike.

also what DIM/CDG are you taking? Brand wise

the first time i used poliquin brand DIM and AOR brand Cal-D, currently the brand im using is Source Naturals, found them online for half the price as the poliquin stuff, its def working, maybe not AS well but still working none the less.

Sleep was good, but the last 5 night have been absolute hell, waking up like 5 times/night, feeling increasingly restless, last night was much better.

right on. overall something is going on. At the doseage you detail above Im surprised you havent suffered any negative estrogen detox symptoms. I tried taking certain things like CDG and other Poliquin supp and detoxed too fast and got sick. My assumption is if that hasnt happen to you there may be a stimulus causing the flux in hormones.

What protein powder or other supps are you using. List label names when you get a chance. It might be something like I encounted where there was/is something in the shake or other supplements. Maybe even something you were taking before and were able to handle but now not so much.

ill list the supps later today, what are obvious symptoms of estrogen detoxing to fast? I started reducing the dose today to 4 of each/day after another month ill probably drop to 2/day.

Well it seems like adding 50g of carbs to my PWO shake and 50g carbs to my PWO meal has helped at least so far, I haven’t gained much if any extra fat and my energy levels are up. Strength is coming back up and I just feel more outgoing in day to day life. Sleep has also improved.

Tork this thread inspired me to be smarter with my diet. Went really low carb yesterday and trained in the evening felt like total ass. I want to see a biosignature practitioner but the one I emailed never responded other two are two hours drive away.

Dont know what to tell you about your poor workout, I can have very good workouts (esp at the beginning) with little to no carbs. As far as your situation, keep emailing the guy close to you. If that doesnt work, I usually see my practitioner about once a month on average. So they may be 2 hours away, but a 2 hour drive once a month doesnt really sound to bad imo.

Good luck

Sounds awesome tork Im glad there is a change in a positive direction. Have you had a chance to detailing supps?

Training is going very well again!

Hang snatched 110kg for 2 sets of 2reps today and didnt feel overly hard, its a new PB in that lift!

to Hipsr4runnin:

my supplement brands/products are:

optimum 100% whey
glutamine is Allmax
creatine is Allmax
Glycine in AOR
mag, zinc, hcl are poliquin
D3 is carlson
multi was multigenics
BCAA is modern bcaa (usp labs) (although im almost done and ordered another brand)
potassium-citrate is natural factors.
cant remember the brand of Resveratrol (but it is Trans-res)
i take glucosimine, condrotin and MSN supplement from the drugstore.

I think thats everything…

I think I may notice a problem straight away with your supp list…

Optimum 100% Whey made the list for one of the most toxic protein powders. It has a high heavy metal content. Check out this Consumer Report article on protein drinks: Consumer Reports Magazine 2022

If you look closely at the numbers, the levels of heavy metals in Optimum Whey are not as alarming as say EAS drinks but some amount of these in your drink could certainly be causing an issue with your environmental estro sites. Just a thought… I’m not qualified enough to be certain.

As an aside, I’ve been training with various levels of caffeine over the last 2-3 months and absolutely love the effects. Lots of research supporting the use of it pre-training. For those of you having piss-poor workouts when going low-carb, I highly recommend it to get through that hour. Poliquin has recommended high doses of Vitamin C (~4g) post-workout to mitigate cortisol (especially when you’re not sensitive enough to take in glucose PW).

Damn!
TB beat me to it. That was exactly what I was going to say. I didnt know about all the toxins just that the amount of soy in that product and actually that company scares the Moses out of me. Ive tried to buy things from them but they just make shit products. Also if you look at any of their sponsored athletes, they have body site problems.
Id drop that shit right away. Maybe look into a detox of some kind, estro, heavy metal, liver??
Im leaving for NY Tuesday to get the BioSig Cert - super fuking excited.

I also agree with TB over the caffine. Ive been using some in various ways ever since a competition - both for pre and post workout and getting super good results. I have also supplemented with High Vit C levels and not noticed anything really.

How many Zinc tablets are you taking a day just out of curiosity? I posted a thread on zinc and was told only to take 30 grams a day. I’ve been following this thread for a while because I’m interested on biosignature. Is there a site where I could look for a practitioner in my area?

any suggestions on a basic Whey protein, I know a lot of people love Metabolic Drive, but im fairly poor

This link summarize the study mentioned earlier about heavy metals in protein powders and actually Optimum 100% whey was actually the best that they tested.

Ran out of Flaxseeds for fiber so I bought some more flax as well as psyllium husks and chia seeds. Do you guys recommend one serving of each fiber each day, or to used each fiber exclusivly for a few days at a time and cycle them all?

Thanks

Okay now im worried because im on a fat fast and the protein im using is EAS 100% whey…Myoplex was tested and it was unsafe but what about what im taking???

@tork: you’re right about Optimum being the best on that list. I edited my initial response to try and show that your powder certainly isn’t the worst out there. I just think there are better alternatives, especially if you look at the nutrition specs and ingredient list. I’ve found better powders at Costco for even cheaper personally.

In regards to fiber supplementation, I’ve heard cycling between fibers has a positive effect although in the big scheme of things I doubt it matters substantially. I recall Nick Mitchell (Ultimate Performance, UK) saying something along the lines of rotating to a new fiber supplement almost single-handedly helped him lean out his legs (don’t quote me directly as I cannot find his original post).

not sure if i mentioned it earlier, but i was accepted in to a medical program where they take your blood, supply you with supplements and then track results.

I had my blood test today and they supplied me with Vit D3, a multivitamin (6/day) fish oil capsules (6/day) a soluble fiber capsule supplement (1/meal), 2 types of probiotics, and a greens powder which is in the mail.

They also gave me a home urine test to use and bring back to them so they can test for heavy metals etc…

Pretty sweet deal!!
