Poliquin Bio-signature

Also, I wouldn’t mind hearing about your new protocol, if that’s ok.
Thanks.

Word. I will post it when I gets it.
I usually use a clear gel speed stick like: Colgate®: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes & Oral Care Resources
but the green one. Smelled great all day and did not list any really stand out ingredients.

I needed something yesterday so I asked my pract and he uses/suggests “Toms” So I bought Toms Apricot not bad. A little pricey so Im probably gona hunt down something else.
Now I am interested in changing toothpaste, gels, soaps etc just to see what happens.
I already try to stay away from certain plastics and such.

What are the ingredients that you’re wanting to avoid specifically?

Slightly (un)related
Did some searching about phthalates and estrogens, and came across this
http://tryingtobegreener.wordpress.com/

They have a bunch of breakdowns of different hygiene products(shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc) based on toxic stuff in them. Thought this might be useful for everyone here regarding possible estrogens, and other contaminants.
I believe they get their info from here

Where you can do a search for whatever item you use and see what the rating is for it.

I also found a soap and shampoo for the shower that both scored a 1 on ewg.org so they are very safe.

The best part is that I can get them for 50% off because its sold at the place that I work.

I also get free tea, coffee etc… when im on the clock, the green tea is just tetley brand so its probably not of great quality. Do you guys think it might still be helpful to have a few cups of the tea during my shifts?

Thanks

Tork, if you are able, you might want to look at matcha green tea. It is finely ground tea leaves that dissolve in hot water, rather than drinking water with the leaves steeped in it. So rather than get part of the benefit, you get all of it with matcha. I love it personally.

Yeah Tork, Max has a good suggestion. Ive been drinking a bucket of GT daily. I like to start with 2 cups of coffee in the AM then switch to GT then have some ACV+Cranberry juice around dinner time. I fast throughout the day so it helps.

All right peeps: protocol time. I forgot to mention some stuff before.

It was hinted at, viewed and suggested that I try to adjust and support adrenal function. Poliquin Ying Builder was recommended. I may hold off on this to see if energy levels balance out. If they do not then I make the purchase.

I will be going through another run of DIM. Like I said, Ive done a lot of estro damage. Im going on a lower dose almost like a multi-vitamin.

Glycocarn PX was recommended because of my vein health and blood flow function. I have two issues with “my boys.” Pract thinks this may help blood flow to the area.

Probiotics.

Pretty much my GF has recovered and is fine. I on the other hand still have some work to do. I did some before and after picks so I may post those at some point. Still trying to lean out more but from what I have leaned out from I have been able to go off the reservation with food. Im not liking it. I dont like “cheating” nor do I feel good. May just stick to 97% paleo. Tried counting cals for a week+ that blew and didnt help much. When I have my chest down to where I want it Im going to publically release a program for how to do that. Ive also been talking to J Meadows about diet and stuff - may try what he suggests in another week. Right now its a waiting game.

Interesting thread. Feeling a bit annoyed at not being able to get a biosig done as the nearest certified practitioner near me is in Christchurch…which has been screwed by earthquakes so not much is running there.

So no more fuking around for me. This morning I registered a spot at the New York BioSig Level 1 cert in Sept. SUPER excited and basically cant wait. Better to know than never know.

hey everyone,

I will be done my estro-detox on Monday and will likely try and get a measurement done on Wednesday or Thursday.

I think my body is doing pretty well, training is going well, not great, but not bad either. I Finished my spring semester today so im looking forward to catching up on sleep over the next 10 days until the summer semester begins. I think this 10 days of extra sleep and rest should positively effect my physique at least a bit.

A few weeks ago I started having blueberries post workout, and im not 100% sure why, but soon after i added the berries by body weight dropped around 4lbs in 2 days and i have been eating like a monster (tones of oils, meats, nuts) trying to get the body-weight back up, but it has barely gone up at all over the last 6 days. Maybe the Blueberries are really jacking up my metabolism??? Anyone have any ideas about this?

Ill let you guys know if i make any better progress this time around, I sure hope so as the last 2 measurements have been a bit disappointing for me.

Had session number 6 at the weekend. Saw some more changes. Down to 12.9% body fat and good reductions in the critical areas (abdominal, supra and sub scap).

Unfortunately same some LBM drop this time too. However we’ve added in another meal to account for the 2 a day workouts so that this should cease and hopefully reverse. I’m up over 4lbs of muscle for the duration of the course even with the last 2 week drop so probably shouldn’t complain too much!

Overall very happy so far. I believe I’m now going to be given insulinomics and fenuplex in addition to a change in workouts to fully blitz it for the last 3 weeks that I’m working with him.

That is amazing Hips, great stuff man glad to hear it.

1 Illusion - I was curious to know (in your opininon) if massive amounts of corticosteroids could cause a hormone problem down the road? I had taken 80 mg of prednisone for about 1.5 yrs nonstop, mix that with Methotrexate, Cyclosporin, Asacol, and 6MP, could those cause a disruption with normal Testosterone and/or Estrogen levels? I asked my doc and he just shrugged LOL. He told me, “Max, I am a the intestine guy, that’s about all I do.” I ended up having my large intestine removed when all of these drugs didn’t work.
I can’t say for sure since I have no experience with any of those, but I’d lean towards absolutely.
tork94 wrote:My main question to guys like t.bruce, hipsr4runnin, or MaximusB (or anyone else with experience) is if im going to far on my cheat meals or if they are just fine.

Today I actually counted everything in my cheat meal and it worked out to: 111g Protein, 85g Fat, and 139g Carbs. This adds up to a total of 1765 kcal in the meal. Is this over-kill and possibly making my progress a bit slower then possible? I’m 209-212 lbs in the morning most days.
The only way to tell is to measure your bodyfat the day before and the day after the cheat meal. If you are leaner then you ate the right amount of carbs. If you are fatter, you ate too many and should shoot for 20% less next time.

Sorry for the delay on this one, T-Nation stopped emailing me with the updates.

getting new skin folds taken on thursday.

Sounds like you ran low carb for too long, hence the big weight drop and appetite surge when you finally added some in.

Check your sub scap and supra again. Your carb tolerance may be significantly improved.

Hey guys,

I got back from my skin-folds. Im again, very disappointed… supra iliac, umbilical, calfs, triceps, axillary and sub scap were SLIGHTLY down, where as hams and chin were pretty much exactly the same, and quads, pecs, cheek, and knee were SLIGHTLY up.

So im again expecting little to no change in total fat %.

He thinks my body is still toxic, so ill be trying to detox it a bit via some other supplements. ie, 5g glycine with each meal, a much higher quality multi-vitamin (not poliquin, but close), as well as some lime juice and stevia (sp) extract in my water throughout the day.

Im not giving up yet, but if the results continue to be this disappointing, ill probably stop spending my money on the Bio-signature with-in the next 2 months or so.

Tork - would you mind sending me your measurements when you get them? Having a second pair of eyes looking at them may give some more options. I will often confer with another biosig prac around me when a client’s results are not what I expected.

sure, when he sends me the results tonight or tomorrow i will send them to you.

I believe he is talking with another prac about my case as well, but i would appreciate your input!

hey guys, i’m curious, when on the protein goal diet (2-1.5 grams protein per lb bodywieght) what kind of fat intake are you on. If i were to try to log this diet, how much fat are you taking in a day. I already supplement with Flameout and Fa3. What kind of cuts of meat do you eat? Or am i completely overthinking this, and should i eat whatever cuts of meat, as long as i get the required amount of protein, and the fat intake is irrelevant? I recently had my bf tested, and my sub scap was double my other sites, and i do store a lot of fat around the abdomen, mainly the love handles. I’m sorry to be so cheeky by asking this, but over in London, a one off consultation costs about $480… thanks in advance

Melkor - You’re over thinking it. Eat lean meats and don’t stress about what the fat content is.

yes, or at the very least eat them with the PWO shakes.
