He didn’t have to. if someone IS huge, they know how they did it. They have THAT experience. No one has written anywhere that you MST train other people to get huge. What is being said if you aren’t huge yourself, then you had better have trained others to be huge if you expect people with that goal to care what you have to say.

Let me make this simple for you before you start eating paste here. You wrote:“you can’t judge training knowledge based on physique alone.”

Gee, no one is saying you can know specifically what someone knows by looking at them…but what you can tell by looking at a really built guy is that he did it to himself and those are the ones most likely to help you reach anywhere near that same goal…not some guy who has never been that big who has not trained anyone else to do it.

What has been said from the beginning is that you are better off finding the guys who did it with themselves or others if your goal is the same.

This has been written 5,000 different ways in this thread but clearly that isn’t enough for you.

The op is referring to guys who have NOTHING to show for what they claim they know. Why you are defending that line of thought as if we should be listening to guys who have nothing to show is retarded.
Have a great one.[/quote]

The only thing I’ve ever defended is the statement I made about making judgments based on physique alone. You try to heap a bunch of other crap in there and imply other things that nobody is advocating.

I’d better stop before you get too excited.

Since joining, I’ve seen a few instances of respected members being either criticized for not having pics posted (when they are actually freely available), or those same members are told by some faceless Pez dispenser of training knowledge that their pics aren’t impressive.

I’m not going to go into specifics, because I’ve seen it happen on numerous occasions. My point is that some people demand a visual reinforcement of what they’re told and it’s still not enough for them.

It amounts to: “I liked your advice until I saw your pics. I don’t want to look like you so you haven’t given me sufficient motivation to train”. Madness. Sheer madness…

No one wants advice from the Iron Dwarf because… well, face it… who wants to end up a lot shorter?

Well, your avatar is proof that you have obvious talents in other areas.

I’m pretty sure (I could he wrong) that initially we are talking “in general” here.

The posters who are bringing up specific “professionals” who are “small” who have good advice are talking about the EXCEPTION and not the RULE. Of course there are going to be EXCEPTIONS (key word here exception) but “in general” someone who looks untrained probably isn’t the best person to get training/nutrition advice from.

…sigh…greg why do you gotta try to be reasonable? Reasonableness isnt allowed here.

reasonableness? Thats not even a real word… I thought you were going to lawyer school or sumfin?

My avatar is my picture and I guess you can say i’m not the right person to give advice to someone who wants to be huge. I can give advice to someone who is a beginner who wants to initally bulk up since I struggled with that for awhile. I honestly know a lot of things, but have an injury/illness that doesn’t let me work out.

I’d take mustache advice from you any day.

Not only did no one say that, I specifically said just a few posts ago, a big guy is LIKELY to have information on getting big and a skinny guy is NOT likely to have information on getting big. … On the street. But X wants to assume that the OP was saying he wants to see people pictures who he walks up to in real life? Wait no, he is saying that you need to look like you have trained some pro bodybuilders in order to… wait that’s not it either. Oh right he thinks that there are people arguing against him that a person searching out on how to get as big as they can, should go looking online to the smallest people possible. Yea X that’s what we are arguing, YOU GOT US!

Sometimes I wonder how you made it through dentistry school. It must not be that hard. Wait a minute. I got it. In dentistry school, they teach you to fight imaginary cavities? So now X is fighting imaginary arguments online, see it’s just his work spilling over into his personal life. It all makes sense now.

I’ll finish out this topic (for me at least) with some old saying a lot of people say. You can’t judge a book by it’s cover.

Jesus people. The point of the matter here isn’t being huge, well versed in training, or highly educated. We can’t see each other. Do you really wanna take advice from someone you don’t know and worse yet prolly has no experience helping people train.

You don’t have to a pics up if you have a history of great posts with informative discussions. But, when somebody just jumps online and starts throwing out posts and arguing with people more advanced than him/her, problems occur.

There may be a few people out there who can train any demographic and do well while not having much time under the bar themselves. It’s not common. If you like fitness and know how to get huge then you will probably train hard enough to show that.

Would you wanna train with Dorian Yates or a 168 lb MD?

Honestly,

Does it really matter? If you are taking your advice from the interwebz then you deserve whatever you get. Before I take any advice, I review the source - does he look like he knows? does he have a history of being correct etc…

I just like people to have pics up so I can make fun of them when they speak of that which they do not know!!!

Where is Celtics???

If it’s that much of an issue, then only listen (or don’t) to the people who have pics in their avi or hub.

He’s touring the country promoting his shake weight based accomodating resistance program.

One gay bar at a time.

They won’t argue with you. They seem to just be fussing over anything I type. I don’t know why anyone would act any differently than what you just wrote but yet here they are debating against it like you can’t look at someone’s development 99% of the time and know if they can help you get arms that stretch the sleeves of XXL shirts.

Mind you, most of the people arguing are nowhere near that big so they must be making all of this noise just so they can be noticed.
