I’ve been meaning to ask about this. Do you know if you are allowed to drink coffee or tea?
The stupid question that I have to ask: What about wine or liquor?
I heated up some shrimp for dinner which cooked some of the water out of them, making them less than 200 grams. It should still haev the same nutritional value right?
Lastly, does it matter if you go heavy on the spices? I like my fish with some cajun and old bay!
Thanks for everything[/quote]
Im not on the same programs as USC obviously but…
Coffee or tea is allowed. CT has told me I can use a little bit of half/half, no milk & splenda. Dont go crazy on the cream or splenda. Coffee is my vice, I can handle anything as long as I have a hot coffee in the morning.
Weight for food should be done pre cooked.
I use spices. Some days heavier than others. Either use pure spices, OR if you use “mixed” spices check ingredients, and check nutritional value. I personally stay away from mixes with sugar in them, anything 1 carb or more, and sodium. Mrs. Dash makes great mixes.

Well, you may not be USC but it’s still good of you come here to answer. I know for myself that I really enjoy, and find it pretty impressive, that all of you Clinic folks check out and participate in each other threads.
I was keeping up with yours at the start but I haven’t read it in a while. See, now I’m going to have to go and check out how you are doing as well.
Iit’s beyond your control, don’t feel like you have to apologize and defend yourself, it’s not your fault. You’re not “quitting”.
Think of it this way though; even if this ends abruptly like this, you still have valuable lessons learned both about nutrition, training and most importantly about yourself and what you can achieve. Don’t ever let that go to waste!
Do what you can while you’re deployed, and get back on track when you come back to your normal life again. I’m sure you’re uber upset right now, but it’s not the end of the world. Really, it’s not. Huge disappointment, sure, but it’s really more of a “slowing down” than an “end”. Just don’t throw it away by comfort eating and wallowing in negative emotions now.
Stay positive, nothing good will come from negative thoughts and anger.
You did really well for the time you were involved and I’m sure you inspired a lot of people. In my opinion, yours was the most interesting physique clinic and you also had the toughest battle - and you have done exceptionally well at it!
what a shocker, I did not see this coming. I have been following USC’s diet, training and well life for the past month or so. And he was making great gains, dammit. What he did in a month took me 10 months. I plan to look back at his workout/diet and use the methods he use and put them into mine. I was just like him. Anyway, thanks for protecting our country soldier! Your Sacrifice will be remembered.
Thanks for your sacrifice for our country. I wish it didn’t have to come at the expense of your clinic. I hope you get to keep your supps. It’s not like you pussied out. You were doing awesome.
Good luck and come back to us alive, will ya! Drop us a line from your deployment if you get the chance.
You’re still an inspiration man, both with your dedication to the Physique Clinic and to your country. The only way I’ll be dissapointed in you is if you don’t keep us updated when you deploy.
Hell, even Chris Shugart isn’t mad at you, and he’d yell at a cow for mooing.
I’m halfway through my second week of the workout and I’m burning with pain after every workout, it’s great! Protein shakes and steaks are huge lifesavers It’s a bummer to see USC go but I’m sure he’ll maintain a healthy physique. Are they picking someone to replace him? If so, pick me! Due to the fact that I have nothing else to do besides work out, I am a perfect selection.
I’m sorry to hear you have to leave so soon after your wife returned! Thanks again for all of the inspiration so far. I look forward to hearing from you when you return. You WILL reach your physique goals.
Coach, please consider choosing a candidate who has already begun USC’s program or at least an ecto. I’m sure you have already considered this. I would feel somewhat lost if someone new was chosen with new training and a new diet. Even if you don’t, thanks!
Neya, thanks for the input! I skipped coffee and drank half of a Spike Shooter before going to the gym since I can’t get my hands on SURGE Workout Fuel! I should go lift! Thanks
USC,
I’ve been lurking on here for awhile and have been following your workout. I started the same time as you and have made some decent gains. Thanks for sticking in there for us ecto’s and always helping out by answering others questions. I agree with TKEmemphis next person picked should be on similar if not the same regime.
Hopefully you continue with your training when you can so you can achieve your goals like we all know you will.
I started late, im only 2 weeks into the first workout/diet and have a lot of time to make up. But, it still sucks. He was quite an inspiration. Good Luck USC in your future!
This must be very disappointing for you man, but you did great. Hope you don’t give up this lifestyle and workout in whatever way you can at the base…like with sandbags or bodyweight stuff. And become good friends with the mess staff haha.
Man that is ashame that you have to stop the clinic, but you should not feel guilty at all. Hell, you are going to serve your county, nothing more noble then that. I think that when ever USC gets back he should be re-enstated to the program, no matter when. God Bless, be safe.
Max
It really sucks the PC is losing you. I had been trying my best to follow all the PCs, by far one of my faves is yours.
It sucks more you have to leave your wife after only 1-2 weeks of her being home. That must be hard. I hope you get home to her again soon.
Dont feel bad about leaving, I dont think anyone is going to hold your duty against you.
Im sure you can take what youve learned from the PC and continue when the time is right. You did awesome in the past month or so!
