greg and i have exchanged PM’s so if people are lumping me into the group that is mindlessly bashing him you are wrong. we are old acquaintances from another now defunct board actually.
good luck greg.

I dunno about being on his “jock” guy.
And I don’t think he owes me anything. But I think he owes more to the coaches and the guys who have put time into to him. I’ve said multiple times I’d love nothing more than him to do phenomenally on the V-Diet. And if you read my posts I am not the one of the guys complaining about his free supplements. So relax.
Keep it up man! Sounds like the Velocity Diet is just what you needed. I know a lot of people are bashing you but it’s probably all out of their want for you to succeed. Don’t take it personally. Just stay focused on your goals.
Good luck!
Greg, while I don’t quite know first hand what you’re going through, I have been through my fair share of rough times. It’s hard balancing training with the rest of life, but keep at it. Don’t let the situation overcome you. Actually, do the opposite.
When do you start your Physique Clinic? I look forward to seeing some actual change.

What is your goal for this PC ?
It seems that most forum members believe that success in this PC is dictated by leanness. If you don’t end this PC “Ripped” - You Lose.
Just read this elsewhere but it applies. The 10 Leading Causes of Death for Men:
Interesting don’t you think?

Check out this link which shows the progress of Dave Tate. It’s that time of year again, when Dave gets Ripped. Very Inspiring.

Not true. Right now he’s on the V-Diet. The V-Diet, with proper training and effort, produces results, barring an unknown medical condition. What these results are for him, I’m not sure. But I’m sure we’ll see it in the pics and the numbers.
He has my unbiased support. I wish him well and I think he WILL do well from this point on. However, I tell it like it is; always have, always will. But, like I said, I hope and think he will succeed.
Is it just me, or was there no HSM for week 2 as well?

As of this reply, I didn’t see it posted. He’s on Day 14 (last time I checked…or, well, last time he posted) and I didn’t see Week 2’s HSM. Interesting…
Edit: I double checked and it’s definitely not there. Plus, the picture posting he said he’d do has been moved back until tomorrow (Sunday). How do you miss your HSM? Or forget to post it? Something doesn’t seem right.
I’m not comforted by his comment on how he “lost the cravings for junk food for the most part.” I’m confused as hell. You mean to tell me for 15+ weeks eating nothing but chicken, celery and pepper (the most bland diet ever) didn’t kill any cravings while some Metabolic Drive did?
You would think that after eating such a diet that you would have lost any “cravings” 2 months ago. Whatever.

Hows he going another day without an HSM…
I know when I ( and every other person) did the V-Diet I counted down the minutes to my weekly HSM.
As far as the HSM some people are different.
When I did mine I was craving a HSM in the first week but by the time the second one came around I really could have skipped it.
By the time the third one came around I was having them purely to follow the guidelines of the diet and thought I should probably get the nutrients from the veges and stuff.
I guess some people have a different view of food than others. I’m sure I could do the V-diet with no HSM at all and that wouldn’t bother me too much.
Looks like he dropped another couple of kilos. It’s a shame this PC won’t produce as good results as the others but hopefully by the end of teh V-Diet he’ll have good eating habits that he can go forward with and continue to build a good physique. That was teh biggest benefit to me. It’s great to lose 10kg in a month but if you dont’ keep losing it then it was all a waste of time.

By the way, did Greg ever explain what any of his once a week refeeds were a few months ago? Just curious.[/quote]
Yeah comments like that make me certain that up till the V-Diet started, he was most definitely eating things he wasnt supposed to. There was another line around day 2 or 3 in the V-Diet where he talked about wanting to punch people in the face whenever he smelled junk food. Well, why are these cravings still so intense if you havent been eating that stuff for months? Guilty as charged. Even with that being said though, im giving him the benefit of the doubt since the diet started up. We’ll let the results do the talking. It would be nice though if he came clean about what he really was eating prior though.
I don’t post that much around here anymore, as the crowd leaves a little something to be desired nowadays. Which cannot be more evidenced than by this thread. Seriously, do you guys hang on every word NG writes? Do you tell your friends/family you can’t go out, miss workouts and meals, simply to see if NG has posted his pictures? “OMG, it’s 12:03 on Saturday and he hasn’t mentioned a HSM or posted pics. He must be mainlining skittles. Yeah, that’s it.” It’s getting absurd.
So you didn’t get the free supplements. Leave the guy alone. Certainly, he hasn’t been the most exciting or inspiring Physique Clinic subject. Granted. But everyone playing detective is beyond annoying. At this point, it’s clear he’s not going to be forthcoming with any downfalls or shortcomings he’s had during his Physique Clinic. It’s also clear that the clock is ticking and nothing really drastic is going to happen, it would seem.
But if he did everything to the letter, and this is the end result, he’ll know it. If he cheated, he dug that grave and he has to lay in it. Not you. Nothing you write in this thread is going to change the outcome. When you boil it down, it’s childish jealousy because NG got the shiny new toys from Biotest and you didn’t.
Everyone keeps writing about how if they were NG, and they had this supplement or that supplement for free, their results would certainly be more compelling, more noticeable, they would be more responsible with their updates and pics. Their weights would rise in a linear fashion because they do, in fact, workout in a bubble and it couldn’t possible be fatigue or another mitigating factor that caused a discrepancy in NG’s tricep extension numbers.
The fact that you are pouring over that data like the Feds through Enron’s accounting books to even uncover that is laughable. If he’s wasting a golden opportunity, then so are you. Go eat something, lift some weights. Hell, start your own physique clinic. It’s free to do that, at least. Perhaps then you would have something better to do than this.
But hey, by all means, stay poised at your computer, sweating, trembling in anticipation for pictures of someone you don’t even know to come through so you can berate them some more. Postulate guesses and hypothetical situations as to what the problem could be, and then debate those. Reiterate what you think you already know: that you’re better than him, that you wrote a doctoral dissertation on your HSM and had a professional photographer take pictures of you eating it. It’s your time, your wasted time.

Good post. It is pretty ridiculous at this point. I initially felt a bit annoyed at what seemed to be someone wasting a good deal. But how can people care THIS much?
Affliction, by even posting, you’re being hypocritical.
I see no problem with supporting a company that supports me with quality supplements and free information. I’m sure some people who work at Biotest read these threads with interest and “postulate guesses” all the same, because ultimately it’s a representation of their company.

Hey, don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Biotest fan. Several of their supplements are mainstays for me. I’ve even successfully completed the V-Diet myself. I just think the degree of scrutiny on NG’s results was way beyond “the-norm” around here (I use the term loosely). Granted, mediocrity begets scrutiny, but I thought it was getting comical. I think you’re misunderstanding me and I find no hypocrisy in my words. Where exactly am I playing on both sides of the fence, to you?
My criticisms are objective and fair. I have not once complained about free supplements (and I never will). Just because I criticize him doesn’t mean I want him to fail. I point out the facts and comment on them.
