As for my nutrition, I’m posting all my intake. It’s definitely lower calories, but with the high fat intake, it definitely fills me up to the point where I’m not starving.
I may have overlooked the amount of fish oil you’re taking. Is this the “high fat intake” you refer to? It appears that the 4 eggs you eat for breakfast and the servings of make up the majority of the “solid” fat intake. Does the olive oil and the fish oil really assist in staving off hunger(pangs)? Just wondering.
The olive oil and high amount of fish oil does help stave off hunger pangs. I feel like I have a steady flow of energy, and my training is going well so far.
I’ve been using the Grow! Whey at night time because I am lactose intolerant and might have issues with the Low-Carb Metabolic Drive, but I’ll be experimenting with it tonight to see if it sits well.
For the 2 cups of whey, it’s around 40 grams of protein each time.
Any have some good music suggestions? I’m always plugged into my IPOD, and since I’m spending over 15 hours per week at the gym for the next 11 weeks, I’m all up for some suggestions. Some of my favorite bands are Motorhead, Killswitch Engage, Guns N Roses, Van Halen, etc.

Q:
How are you feeling with the morning walks? Has this altered your sleeping patterns??
Hey man,
To elaborate on this more, let me just say I’m someone who LOVES to sleep. In a perfect world, I’d love to go to bed around 3 am, and wake up between 11 am and noon. That being said, working in retail, my schedule varies from week to week. I think Chad Waterbury once said he feels awful waking up, but after about 10-15 minutes, he’s fine. That pretty much sums up this week for me.
A HUGE part of the motivation for me is knowing that I’m repairing my insulin sensitivity right now, which will help not only my overall health and body composition, but it will make me more successful when bulking later this spring.

I’m guessing it’s 2 scoops, not 2 cups. Most decent whey protein brands list about 20g of protein per serving which is generally 1 scoop. 2 scoops = 40g of protein.

KSE is good. Unearth, the new Alter Bridge, Velvet Revolver, Lamb of God, Avenge Sevenfold are all on my iPod shuffle. Great lifting music!
Thanks for the support Greg. I really appreciate it. Thank you and I wish you nothing but the best!
If you like listening to Motorhead, make sure and download “The Game”. It’s Triple H’s wrestling song, and man it pumps you up for a serious workout! It’s like Spike for me.
Yeah, sorry, I meant to say scoops. I’m a huge Motorhead and Triple H fan, so I’m well acquainted with that tune.
Nice work so far novagreg, looks like you’re coming along. I read this thread and the Physique Clinic everyday for all the good info. Keep rockin.
And yeah, I totally feel ya on working retail. I worked over 8 years in retail (mainly clothing department stores), so I know how messed up the schedules can get, especially this time of year with the holidays. Meal and workout timings always got screwed up, so I totally feel your pain bro.
Stay strong.
Thanks for the support guys. Sorry I didn’t log on last night, i was without internet access for about 16 hours. Just updated my thread though.
Just chimming in, but not only have you guys been supportive, but all of my close friends have been extremely supportive thus far. I’m a very lucky guy to be a part of this.
If any of you guys are looking for me to be more detail oriented, or any questions at all, just let me know.
Novagreg,
All I can say, is I am sitting here, and I am awaiting your arrival.
And by that, I mean I am waiting for you to step into that ring of fire, burn off the weight that holds you down. Become the warrior you are and shed yourself of the disguise.
You will come out looking like a statue of steel and stone.
This is your opportunity of a lifetime, so do not let anyone, including yourself regret this. This is something not many will ever get a chance to say they have done. There is a mountain infront of you, and hell… It looks big, it is big. Way too big to be taken by any silly human being. So shed yourself of your human ways, and climb that beast of a structure with your heart, flesh and will. Show that mountain what you truly are, a mountain in and of itself.
Do it up.
P.S, I wouldn’t mind seeing some detail on how you are feeling on your diet, such as mentally, physically and such.

Thanks for that man, your support means alot to me. I just posted a more detailed entry on how I’m feeling about everything, and I’ll be doing that from now on.
My favorite song that came on my IPOD shuffle during training today, Metallica, “Seek and Destroy”. I’ll list a random song everyday, you guys reading could do the same. As I said, I’m in the market for some new music to listen to.
one of my favorite songs is “Last Resort” by Papa Roach and “Dirty Deeds” by ACDC
OctoberGirl, thanks for the suggestions! Both great artists.
