Daammmmmmnnnnnn, Hey man, just checked your stats after 1 week. The amount you lost around your midsection (2 inches) took me a good 17 weeks to lose…and you did it in 1 week…If I could afford the Velocity diet, I would definately give it a try. I still have a good 8 weeks or so ahead of me until i get into single digits bf%…

Good luck with the rest of your tranformation, it takes an amount of discipline only real men/women can handle.

Thanks GJ! The V-Diet is a strong kick start into burning fat fast.

I’ve been fighting all year to get under 200lbs and on this diet it takes me only 7 days. Nice!

I still have a long ways to go for single digit body fat but I think I have a great start.

Take care Bro and thanks for the support.

I used to eat at Claim Jumpers when I lived in SoCal, can you say “Portion Distortion”

Enjoy that meal though, stay away from the bread…
Ha ha! So true.

Even the real big eaters who go there still bring part of their meals home due to the sheer size of it.

Gus,

Just stopped by to see how things were going. Its funny how we both have similar goals, but have to struggle in different ways.

I gotta say, these past 6 days were SO hard on me. I’m glad I stuck through it, and things are looking up. Its good to hear that you’re doin’ the dayam thang as well!

My family went all out w/ the Filipino food for New Year’s too, man! If it wasn’t for me eating more than I’m used to and feeling full all the time, it would’ve been hard!

Stay strong, bro!
I’m glad you are finally adjusting to all the food and supps CT has you on.

Just take it meal by meal and drive hard with the weights.

Take care Trojan!

11 pounds, hotdamn, man!!! That’s awesome. You’re gonna pass my 15 in the second week!

I’m still eating clean here, preparing for another one soon. Good to see how great things are going for you. Week 2 can be, er, interesting! Take care, Gus…

I feel pretty good so far on week 2. Haven’t gone crazy or anything.

I’m trying to avoid food but I’ve found myself in a drive-thru, in front of the store or my TV knows I’m on the V-Diet and sends evil food commercials every time I watch it. It’s getting creepy on week 2 ha ha!

Take care Scott!

That celery idea did cross my mind but I gotta keep strict.
I miss chewing too.

I love Claim Jumpers. No better place to get giant portions of food!

Must be nice to be able to do this diet with a partner. Keep on track and take care.

If I had thousands of people watching my every dietary quirk, I’d probably resist the celery a little easier.

This is the second time my husband and I’ve done the V-diet, the first time was right before our wedding in September…which was followed by starting a new job and injuries and stress and a surgery for him and all of our progress going thbbpt. This time, we’re a little less chaotic in our lives, and there are no gigantic changes coming at us in the next few months. It’s tough as hell, as you know, but having someone who reeaaally gets what you’re going through is helpful.

Good thing you’ve got such great support in the community, with lots of people cheering you on!
I bet you are even more focused this time around on the program since the two have done it before.

Post some pics after if you can. It is a great motivator for a lot of the dedicated people on the V-Diet.

Count me in as one of the people cheering you two on! Take care Braveharlot!

Gustavo,

Regarding your coach’s statement about training in the morning fasted and weights and what not. Do you know (From him telling you) if lifting within 15 minutes of waking / downing a scoop of whey is OK orrr lifting after 30 minutes of medium intensity cardio in afternoon is better (i can lift in morning here on campus or wait until weight room opens up again after my track practice where I’ll run equivalent of 30 minutes --roughly 4 miles)

Thanks!

Yeah, nothing like watching your hard earned results fall apart due to life landing on your head with a vengeance to motivate a body. Admittedly, I wasn’t planning on doing the v-diet again quite this soon, but a slight bicep tear that prevents me from moving significant weights “encouraged” me to try to get leaner again whilst I recover, before chasing that “grow bigger!” rabbit.

Pics, check. Will do, once the diet is over and I’m a little less squishy.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Your results and resolve help keep me on track, keep up the good work!

so, I’ve been on a diet for a few weeks now and I survived thanksgiving and christmas without a problem, but New Years, I couldn’t help myself. I pigged out and I drank alcohol. My diet is a 1000 times less restrictive than yours so the fact that you made it through, fantastic! Great Job.

Chris is stating that it is better to lift weights in the afternoon or after about 2 meals to perform better in the gym. Your nervous system is basically not fully awake in the morning thus your gym session might not be as productive.

If you do train in the morning with weights, just try to get some kind of protein shake or better yet a serving of Surge to break your overnight fast.

The choice is yours, hope I helped. Take care Bro!

Thanks md1587, it wasn’t a walk in the park for me but I got through it well.

Good job in keeping it straight through Thanksgiving and Christmas. That was at least a good two months. I guess just consider New Year’s your last cheat meal for that year anyway!

Stay strong Bro!

Man, I hear ya. Every stupid fast food ad in the world will dog you during this diet. Even crap I never cared for looked so enticing. But just go to Wal-Mart and look at some of the people. That’ll put you off it right quick… but just make sure you drink an Metabolic Drive shake first!

Say, I thought those foothills in your photos looked familiar. I think I’m over on the other side from you in “The 209”. =:^)

Oh, and I found a major flaw with taking my NEPA walks at dinnertime. With my newly acute sense of food smells, I could tell what everyone in my neighborhood was having for dinner! Aaauuugghhh… Man, that was tough. But I’m tougher.

Hey bro, just from the pics of you on the treadmill, it’s apparent you lost weight. Nice job! I’m bulking right now and was contemplating the V-Diet–now the question is how big do I get before I trim! Keep moving forward :stuck_out_tongue:

Well Gus after reading your training log and what not I decided to give V-Diet a try. I’m on my second day now and I already hate it haha. Can’t imagine it gettin worse yet I know it will. Keep up the good work!

Hey Gus -
Wanted to add my voice of support as well. You and Bart are the “lab rats” I’m watching the most. I identify more with Bart’s physique, but I really appreciate your attitude (toward yourself AND others) and determination.

Keep up the good work, your progress is evident! You guys are the inspiration that some of us need to fuel our own transformation.

Cheers -
Don

Gus -

I’m eagerly reading your thread here. You’re the “lab rat” I’m watching the closest because our size and measurements resemble the most from all the physique clinic participants. You’ve got a little more muscular development in your chest and lats than I do but otherwise we’re pretty close in physique.

I really want to do this V-Diet but I’m having to acquire the supplements a little at a time due to the cost. I’m a believer in the approach though.

Good job on your resolve to see this through. I like to think of myself as being mentally tough and determined and I can see that you have the same quality. You will succeed.

WHOA!! Much respect for the Boston Market episode! And I can relate about the peanut butter. I did the same thing! It was heaven… /drool

Just wanted to stop by and say that you’re an inspiration to myself and many others! My internet time is limited to when I can find the time to browse at work, but everytime I get the chance I make sure to keep up with your journey.

Keep kicking the mess out of this program man!

Gus, I just posted this in the Supps & Nutrition thread, and I thought you might like it.

Velocity Diet cookies. Very useful for those of us that like to munch on things.
