You’ve seen Rocky, right? This is the part of the clinic where we’d transform into little kids and chase you around town as you hop over park benches. This is the final push man - take what is rightfully yours!
I’ve watched Rocky about a thousand times or so ha ha! I pretend this is the part of the scene in Rocky 2 where Adrian says “win” and Micky yells “What are we waiting for!” That part is damn motivating and gets me psyched especially now.
I’m pushing hard Brother! I’m hungry, I’m tired of peeing and I’m not feeling as strong in the gym but I’m pushing. This is my last couple of days in my dream clinic and I’m squeezing every moment I can out of it. Opportunities like this only come once in a lifetime, so I take as much as I can out of it.

You’re muscle is just popping out everywhere in the latest photos. Amazing progress with respect to definition. I look forward to seeing the final pics this week, and am also curious what you plan to have for the junk carb up. I’m amazed at how detailed CT has been with respect to this final week. Your PC thread is a gold mine. Congrats on reaching single-digits!
Right on Phatko, thank you for the very kind words Bro! I’m still debating on what to eat. Junk carbs used to be like crack for me so I don’t want to go too crazy ha ha! No relapse into fatboy city for me.
I’m really glad that my PC thread is helpful, for that I am grateful for.
Have you decided what sugary stuff you’ll be eating tonight? I am curious.
I will also be curious how you feel after eating that stuff. Your PC inspired me to clean my diet up to a very strict diet much akin to the HSM found in the V-Diet transition or close to keeping to the same cal/pro/carb/fat ratio as the V-Diet and erring on the light side if anything. I have been at it since the end of Feb. I have only had a cheat meal about every 10-12 days.
That said, I cannot drink a whole beer anymore! Whereas, up until this point I could drink 20-25 on the weekend! I get so bloated that I just can’t do it. This may be the biggest lifestyle change for me ever - I live in Lousiiana man!
I say all that to prompt you to fill us in on how good or bad you feel after consuming lots of sugar after having gone with out for so long. I am also interested in how this affects you mentally - i.e - “Oh, God I am reversing what I have been working towards for so long…”, which I know is not the case and will make your pics better tomorrow but I can’t help but think you’ll have crazy thoughts like that or maybe not.

Gus, your phyisque transformation is mind blowing.
Curious, how are your family, friends, and co-workers reacting to this physique change?
Have your co-workers and friends asked you how you got so buff? And what do you say?
Thanks Phate89!
My family’s been very supportive, encouraging and kinda quiet about it but it’s all good.
Friends and co-workers all trip out over the change because I was pretty big at 210-215 lbs, not cut but pretty wide in my shoulders and gut. When I got under 180 lbs, that is when most people took a lot of notice. I guess my facing shrinking freaked them out ha ha.

I’m still thinking about what to eat after supper (sugar/carb load) tomorrow night. I know it could be hard cause the sweets make me thirsty and my water intake is cut at 4 pm. So I’m wondering how that will be.
I’m used to eating clean now and it’s become easy for me which I’m happy about. I do like a lot Shugart’s recipes especially the MD pie. That stuff I crave cause it taste good and keeps me lean. For the regular sweets, I’m not too hung up on. I mean, I worked my ass off ever since Christmas Eve to get in shape and I’m focused on improving my physique even more post-PC. I have no interest in pigging out afterwards and wasting all my hard earned efforts. No way!
This is the shape I’ve been wanting to get in for a long, long time and I’m just focused on what else I can do to make it even better.
Good job on your lifestyle changes. I know it is not easy and it is absolutely worth it long term. Take care Ed!
I following the shredded in 6 days as well bro, BUT I dont believe I was lean enough to make the most of it, but turned out okay kinda…It wasn’t easy ey, and I really understand where your coming from regarding the THIRST on the last night, when water intake is cut…and Im sure everyone who competes know too, lol. It was a killer, which ironically ruined the pancakes I ate that night too, rather than me enjoy it. Oh well, Im sure its worth it and YOU will come up truly shredded tomorrow ey. Now your a FFB, haha…
Wow, You are freaking amazing!!! What a milestone for you. I am 182lb 67" the same size you were at around page 20 of the PC. I am now writing down the workouts and diet starting from page 20. My wife is also impressed with your results!! When I showed her your first pics she thought you wouldn’t do it. Boy is she eating crow.
I was so extremely happy for you Gus, you did an extraordinary job and didn’t make excuses the entire time though I’m sure you could have had plenty! You are a true testament to what can be done when we cut the bullshit and get it done. You are a helluva an example Gus, thanks so much for showing newbies like me what is possible and being so thoughtful in your posts throughout. You’ve set a tremendous amount of momentum for the physique clinic for future years.
Just have to say it again after the recent pictures, INCREDIBLE job. You looks great, and have achieved an inspirational physique through pure hard work and dedication, naturally. Congratulations on coming to the end of the clinic, good luck getting to that Level 4!
You’ve made me want to do another V-Diet run, that’s how great your transformation is!
So I ordered the required protein, will buy the flax and PB on Thursday (late night shopping here…) and then weigh in Sunday and start on Monday morning.
I’m looking forward to it this time actually…
Your progress is just amazing and look forward to seeing you building muscle on that frame!
What body parts are you looking forward to concentrating on ?
Ever since you’ve ended your V-Diet (which was in January 2008) you’ve made visible progress with every comparison shots you’ve put up.
You’re progress personified, man. Goes to show everyone that even at a relatively high training age things can be sped up pretty fast to a new level if the individual demands are properly met (thanks to your efforts and your coaches’ nutritional and training design). And that’s just 5 months of your 21-year training age.
It didn’t even take you 2% of your total training age to turn you from a fatty muscled guy to a decent bodybuilder.
Thanks for letting us all take part in your journey and keep it up, man!
