Physique Clinic discussion for gustavopacho

Can’t wait to follow the updates on this! I really like the introduction, hope it all continues well.

Good luck.

Gus -

You and I are almost identical in terms of measurements. I’m about an inch taller at 5’7" and I currently weigh 191. Your measurements (except for the waist, I dropped from a 39.5 in. waist to around a 35 in.)however are spot on what mine are. I’ll definitely be interested to see how this plan works for you.

I’ve gotta say I’m a little envious of the opportunity you have here. Make the most of it.

Get it done!

I’m actually 5’8, so we are almost the same, except you have the better waist measurement!

Take care Bro, Train Hard!

wait, why isn’t he weighing/taking pictures right before he starts the diet??? shouldn’t we have that as a reference to fully see his to-be amazing progress?

My weight is still at 210-211 depending on food intake and I have my measurements on the PC thread with Chris.

I’m actually taking pics this Sunday for my own personal record of this program. I am not above showing my pics to this thread. Got nothing to hide bro except my “hidden ab muscles!”

As to my “amazing progress”, I am just as curious as you are to see how I look after all this. All I want to do is give everything I got on this program day by day.

Take care russianmuscle

Finally, I’ve got someone in the clinic that is in my age group and shares the same goals.

Gus, I’m looking forward to following your progress and seeing you succeed.

BTW - Chris’s tip on the rubber band works. I learned that reprogramming technique at a seminar in LA about a month ago. Good stuff! If we don’t see a rubberband around your wrist in your future pics, we’ll all find you and snap that thing on your forehead a few hundred times.

Stay strong!

I wanted to add the good luck message to a guy closer to my age. so…good luck! I know hard work beats good luck almost every time.

Gus,

I have a book I want you to read…I know, Chris has you reading plenty of articles, but this is a short one - 100 pages? - and will really make you think outside the box about everything in life. It’s easy to follow, not heavy at all.

It is broken down into chapters, so at the very least try to read the chapter on Fear and Joy. There’s also a section on leading a fulfilling life and what that really means (e.g. to NOT follow in the footsteps of others). It’s not self-help at all, more philosophical but it is a QUICK read.

It is a book you will find yourself reading once a year, just to keep your mind sharp. Easy to read. One week you’ll finish it.

If Chris or or Thibs is reading this, please do yourselves a favor and pick up a copy and take a week or two to read it, soak it up. I’ll try to mention it again in case you missed my recommendation.

Freedom From the Known by J. Krishnamurti

Thanks Kana and Techo1.

The book sounds good, I’m going to check it out. Thanks Ponce!

so i guess if we need more cals(than gus) we add more scoops to the shakes?

Hi Gus,
if you have not already dug up some V-Diet shake recipes. I like the following:

  • Choc + instant coffee + ice to start the day: For this shake I eat the flax meal separately. Inspired by Chris’ hot chocolate recipe, I am gonna try hot coffee tomorrow. It’s getting a bit cold around here.
  • Vanilla + Cinnamon

I’ve been looking for a coffee Metabolic Drive shake recipe. Thanks Chris.

I just noticed that the training program is by Chad Waterbury!

This is probably the most exciting combination of diet and training i’ve ever seen… Chad’s one of my favourite trainers (alongside Alwyn Cosgrove) and I’ve been fascinated with the V-Diet for ages.

Can’t wait to see the preview of the program…

Congratulations on earning a spot in the clinic. Follow Chris’ nutritional advice, along with the training program I wrote, and you’ll get outstanding results.

Stay focused!

Thanks Chad! Your programs are tough but they deliver great results!

Gus:
You’re gonna be super hungry man!!! But I think this is gonna be a wicked body transformation. I’m planning on cutting in a few months, and based on your results I may follow a program similar to your own.

Shed a little fat, get super ripped. Right on.

Hi Gus,
I would not expect to be super hungry. A little bit of hunger is to be expected, but not nearly as much as you would expect with so few calories.

I’d really like to try the cool training program you got. But I guess it’s too advanced for me. Can’t do overhead squats or power cleans with a decent weight.

Chris

I’m getting my game face ready for next week. The workouts are gonna be challenging and I’m looking forward to the “grind” days where I’m really going to be tested.

Thanks Dmachine!
