I don’t like to play the cheerleader, but if he sticks to the diet and my program I really believe that in 8 weeks he could look like a slightly smaller version of Stan McQuay. He has an almost identical structure.

Gus,

I noticed your enquiry re the deadlifts on Hip dom day. Does this mean you are going to set up bars at 3 stations, so there is a bar on the ground, a bar on pins 2-3" below knee and a third bar 1-2" above knee?? Cuz I cant imagine you resetting pins in 30 secs of rest you have ey.

I have been cutting for a while now, and currently completing metabolic work in my heavy sessions with great progess! BUT I wouldn’t mind trying the program given to you out after I have completed a couple more weeks on my current one.

It’s fairly simple, you only really need 2 stations:

  1. Bar on the floor

  2. Bar in the rack 2-3’’ below knees

BUT you take the J-hooks (those hooks that are used to set the bar on when you rack the squat bar) and put them at a height that it 2-3’’ above the knee cap.

So the giant set goes like this:

  1. Perform your deadlift from the floor.

  2. Take your 30-45 seconds of rest while walking to the second station (in the power rack) where the bar is set below the knee cap.

  3. Do your set from below the knee cap BUT ON THE LAST REP YOU RACK THE BAR ON THE J-HOOKS, NOT ON THE SAFETY PINS.

  4. This will allow you to easily bring the safety pins up to just below the J-Hooks so that you can start the third station.

Ahhh. Easily done. Thanks CT!

Gus,

I’ve been following your progress since day 1 and always look forward to reading the updates everyday. I just want to congratulate you on your success and wish you luck continuing the program.

Can’t wait to see the pics in 8 weeks, especially if you do end up looking like Stan McQuay.

I’m only 15 so the V-Diet isn’t really an option for me right now, however your progress has inspired me regardless and I plan on starting it as soon as I start college.

Wow…looking even better than last time I checked in, bro! I’m amazed! I still remember the first day you started your challenge. Doesn’t seem so long ago, but your results make it seem as if you’ve already been at it for years.

That is a huge compliment Coach CT, thanks man! I’m going to keep upping my intensity and efforts in my training and diet to really dial it in!

Stan’s physique is ideal & incredible and I can only wish that my physique is similar to his. I can’t see it and only see my weak points that need much time and effort to improve.

I’m a hard critic on myself and I can’t help it because I always want to keep improving something on me. Being complacent and satisfied is not in my bodybuilding vocabulary.

Thanks again for that compliment Coach CT. I do appreciate it greatly!

It’s not so much a compliment as it is an obligation to stay intense an disciplined all the way!

Awesome Job man. You are and will be an inspiration to so many. I enjoyed following your journey, and I’m curious as to what your specific goals are for this next journey? I understand you want to get 8% or below in bf. What about your weight are you trying to stay around 187lbs?

Good Luck, keep up the good work.

I want to be at 8% BF or less and I don’t care if I weigh 185, 180 or even 170 lbs. I want to really get shredded and then hold it to 8% for a long while or until my body accepts that 8% as being normal. Take it easy DM!

What are you at now, Gus?

Gus,

I must say that you are looking amazing. It’s pretty inspiring to watch someone’s weight fall and they just seem to grow and grow! What’s your favourite meal now, and training session? Those new workouts that are in place now look killer. If the waist keeps dropping and your chest growing, Seems it would be more of a jutting than a taper, keep up the hard work, looking good!

Also, CT, is it reccomended to attempt any of the NLT without the SURGE workout Fuel?

Hey Gus,

The new workout looks nice and hard!! I am going to adopt your exact routine, so will be feeling the pain ever step of the way. I am pretty much at the same stage you are in terms of bf level, may have slightly more in my lovehandle region…dammit…but abs coming out well etc.

Planned on switching thing up and the principles in your new routine looks great May not be exactly the same in terms of exercises, but same principles. I am currently using the same style of work as in Bartl’s OLD workout, with rubber band work and its has been stripping fat off!! along with low intensity cardio and a super gangsta diet…lol.

Anyway, goodluck bro!!

Mr. Pacho,

In light of me going through the initiation phase of the Anabolic Diet, I dont think it would be fair to weigh in against you on Sunday, since I’m sure most of the weight I lose this week will be glycogen and subsequently water. This round goes to you my friend, but after Sunday, its on again - prepare!

Thanks BF, I’m liking the way I look now! Didn’t know I had muscles hiding under my soft flub!

Thanks AS, and keep pushing hard in your sessions. I get juiced off of reading about other people getting in shape too!

Thanks NP! I was your age when I started bodybuilding and if I can give you some good advice…add only quality lean muscle mass, not bloat. You will be very happy if you do that and keep it up. Take care and train hard.

Hey WM, thanks bro! It does seem like a long time since I started but in actuality, just a few months. Being focused and motivated is just a huge factor in making changes happen! Take care brother!

You’re right Coach CT. All I want to do is stay focused and disciplined no matter what. I’m seeing results and I want to bust my ass to see even more progress.

My favorite meal right now is ground buffalo and sauteed spinach with non-fat cooking spray. Mrs. Dash seasoning on everything.

All the training sessions are pretty tough and challenging if you follow it to the letter but I do like deadlift day! No other exercise will bust your ass and make you grow like deadlifts or squats. But my body loves deadlifts even though I don’t lift as much weightin it as some people.
