I dont follow any otther athlete’s progress other than my own. That goes for every sport I have ever been or will be involved in. I do my thing and that is it. Whether or not I know these people doesnt stop me from growing or getting better.

This isn’t about you. What I wrote wasn’t even about you.

Also, no one here would know about how great you are doing because you won’t show pictures of your progress…making this all talk.

Most successful people do follow other successful people.

There have been hundreds of guys who didn’t know who key people were in bodybuilding. This is a physique sport. By ignoring other physiques, you would only put yourself at a disadvantage if you ever did get on stage as a possibility.

Kobe Bryant spent hours watching footage of Michael Jordan to the point of obsession…along with other good players.

Clearly you think this was a mistake.

It is great that others know what you look like. I don’t. I am sure many here don’t. Why not refresh our memories?

I like going in blind. All I can do is prepare myself the best I and my trainer can. I think getting stressed over what some other dude looks like is the real disadvatge. No one pressures me, but me.

My brother watched Warren Sapp tapes as well. He isnt an NFL player. He wasnt even that good when he played. Kobe was going to be Kobe…

eh, progress? PROGRESS? I’m not making any (because my posting is mainly in GAL and SAMA)

I think that’s a very close minded statement/train of thought. While I agree that we are all unique and have differnt strengths that doesn’t mean that I can’t take something that you do very well and incorporate it into my own skill set. I sell for a living and I think I’m pretty good at it. There are others that are better and the only reason I know is because I pay attention.

Now I could stay where I am and simply say I’m the best ME I can BE or I can see what they are doing and determine if I should be doing it also or better still, improving on their process.

Additionally, comparing yourself allows you to see your weaknesses. If I’m the cats meow what do I based myself on, the mirror?

OK. enough about Blackula, back to Heath.

4 Weeks out

This was a great statement by the way. If you already think you are the shit with no room for improvement, you will have no room for growth.

Most people like that end up failing, not doing better than most.

By the way, I am sure Bill Gates pays MUCH attention to the competition.

That is why is stays ahead of them.

Did someone post up there that he’s been critisized for having a flat chest? I think you can tick that off the list this year!

I recall watching an interview with Ronnie Coleman and I think he said Phil heath will be the one to watch in a few years time. Looks like the big man is right again!

Jesus H. Chrysanthemum – those ARMS!

How much does Phil’s arms measure ?

Jesus, they are massive.

Dude must seriously be having new trouble finding clothes that fit. I know he is one for looking bigger than he is, but it would surprise me if he was under 260lbs in these.

Those forearms look like drumsticks, damn. Phil has super hero symmetry.

Man Phil’s arms are looking ridiculous top to bottom right now. That step on his brachioradialis is insane. Cant wait to see him on stage.

[/quote]

Yep. Probably the sickest arms I’ve ever seen.

Some past greats had great arms, but Phil’s will definitely go down in history as the cream of the crop.

regardless of what is said of the sport or lifting weights in general or tactics or obsession Phil is married to my cousin, I had the pleasure of meeting the gent when he won Mr. America, he almost ate my house when we didnt have dinner ready, very kool experience. I talked to him about all the work he puts into it and his schedule and how she deals with him. Changed my idea of lifting, I have nothing but respect for him and hope he wins this time.

I was following Heath on Twitter last year, dude was constantly posting pictures of his meals. The amount of food body-builders eat is astounding. What’s more is that the food is clean so they have to eat even greater quantities.

I don’t really follow BB’ing that much but I remember being pissed off at the Arnold 2010 because he didn’t win. He deserves nothing less than 1st at the O.
