You can tell he has good genetics just by looking at the ‘then’ photo - he looks jacked for a basketball player.

you can already see the framework for freaky arms[/quote]

What you cant see is how ridiculous those Brach. Extensors are gonna get. Thats just ridiculous.

he’s a monster…

speaking of basketball players, i wish Dwight Howard would try bodybuilding. He’d be a monster IMO.

He’s way to tall bud, those lanky arms and legs would be very hard to work with, and would not be fun from a training standpoint.

I wouldn’t mind having lanky arms then… Dwight Howard looked pretty muscular a few years back untill he started training more for basketball. I think he’d be pretty big if he didn’t play so much .

He’d be a freak show for sure.

Flex cover.

Even though we criticize sites like bb.com, I think it’s funny how far behind them we are in things like IFBB and NPC bodybuilding discussion.

I honestly think those sites have a higher influx of people who actually follow bodybuilding. Many of the people here don’t even lift, especially in the GAL and Sex forums.

Yep, it’s weird seeing stuff that’s been gone over in detail from two weeks ago on other forums just popping up over here. We’re less than two weeks out from the Olympia and a 7 weeks out video is showing up now? I guess it’s as much my fault as anyone else’s; I don’t start threads, I read them.

What’s really strange is having people on this site not even know who these guys are and acting like expecting them to know is the strange thing.

You start a thread about Phil heath here and you actually get a steroids comment as one of the first responders. That’s just sad.

I’ve said it before, but this site does seem to avoid even trying to follow the bodybuilding scene at all.

You had people complaining when they used pictures of pro bodybuilders in articles.

From what I can tell, you may have 25% of the people here who take this seriously and look like it (that number may be a tad high). The rest seem to just be here for entertainment…yet also seem to hate bodybuilding.

It’s strange behavior for a site like this.

His forearms are ridiculous! I’ve never seen anything like that before.

To be fair, it was almost midnight EST when the vid first went up.

Not saying that the troll wouldn’t have still posted it, but I think it would have been later in the thread had the vid been posted at say, noon.

I’m not saying he wouldn’t be nasty, I’m saying his frame and the length of his arms and legs would make it impossibly hard for him to lift heavy enough to be a bodybuilder.

You could definitely build a house on house shoulders though, that’s for sure.

Indeed. My theory is that people here appear to be very afraid of anything that may be interpreted as gay. I can’t see, in other few forums I visit, where people post pictures of themselves in poses that are not strictly standard BBing poses, and get called out for posting porno. It is just strange. TC’s articles set that atmosphere, too.

As for using pictures of pro BBers in articles, yes, I feel that when discussing natural BBing, it is more proper to use natties. At least, use natty pros…

Agreed…that is why I made the comment I did after TC’s last article.

Bodybuilding is a lifestyle…one that I am not sure many here really even understand. I can’t imagine looking at someone like Phil Heath and thinking up negative things to talk about him for. I also wouldn’t care what he wore to the gym because he earned that body he has and can show it off how he pleases.

I guess I just wish there were more people like the people I know at the gym who take this seriously. There is still that camaraderie there…unlike here where you seem to get people pissed off if you are too much bigger than they are.

Either way, back to Phil, he has taken this to a level I doubt most would have been able to predict years back.

I really hope he wins. All of the talk about Cutler doing so much for bodybuilding has to be a joke. the man is a great business man, but I know for a fact that Ronnie was on The Tonight Show at least twice along with other media. Ronnie had a more relateable personality as well.

I know that Cutler is trying to do a movie (last I heard) but I am not seeing all of the publicity he is bringing to the sport from the outside.

I get what you’re saying. He did have pretty respectable bench of 365 which exceptional for a bball player. With some creativity, he’d be pretty damn big in terms of natural bodybuilding.

lol

I dont follow any otther athlete’s progress other than my own. That goes for every sport I have ever been or will be involved in. I do my thing and that is it. Whether or not I know these people doesnt stop me from growing or getting better.

X2

People keep talking shit about Phil’s chest - as if it’s flat and small. If anyone’s going to fault a man major points for ONE bodypart while the rest of him is damn near perfection, they’d better look at Cutler a lot closer too. Yeah, Jay’s bigger, but a refrigerator looks like shit standing next to the Farnese Hercules.
