Weird, but impressive…
And this is my deload week, so prepare to be underwhelmed! ![]()

Now you have me thinking that he is going to watch me sleep. I will probably have to just sit up all night in the chair now.
Deloads are a great time to still do something impressive but just something that is totally different to our normal workouts. I will be most impressed by your 4 min plank tomorrow. ![]()
I’ll have my husband post it. As I will be dead after that effort.
I’ve had a truly horrid day. You made me smile. Thought you should know.
I am glad I was able to make you feel better. You know the best thing about having a horrible day is that its done and you can have a whole new day tomorrow. Keep smiling.
@T3hPwnisher I don’t think I have tags either. Or am I just a screwball? It’s possible I’m just a moron.
I don’t know how to view without moderator view, so I’m not sure if it’s something unique to me or not, but either way I got you set up.
Cool. Thanks. I think I only had the option to move it to a different category. Either way, thanks.

@simo74 I have failed you. But I did give it a try. I’ll get it next time.
Much better mental state today. I’m ready to take on the day.
Today is a good day.
Hey, I decided to use a few of my free minutes to check out some other logs (been terrible about that since my return to the site).
Sorry to hear about all the stress and unpleasantness going on with your family. As I was crying over my dog, I tried to tell myself that people were dealing with trauma involving humans to help myself suck it up. I didn’t realize it was someone who was offering encouragement in my own log. I’m fortunate in that I haven’t had to personally deal with anything like that with my parents or grandparents, but I’ve seen plenty of drama on my in-laws’ side of things. It’s really tough to do much when other humans are involved and have their own thoughts and free will. I’d say focus on what you can control - your life - and support your sister as much as you can. When it comes to aging and the tough things that come with it such as caring for a spouse, I try to put myself in their shoes. I can’t blame your dad for not wanting help. We’re stubborn creatures (men), and I feel like I should be able to care for my wife if the need arises. But in my current state (youngish and healthy), I know that I would probably fall short of what she deserves. It’s a tough situation.
Glad to see this - have a great day!
You can always find someone with something worse, but that doesn’t make your pain less relevant or real. In my opinion, losing a pet is one of the more painful things to go through. Thank you for your kindness. I’m trying to give my dad grace, our relationship is difficult and sometimes I just fall short.
Just catching up in here, echo the digital love and hugs, sorry to hear the situation has been challenging, watching parents deteriorate is such a hard thing, the people you spent half your life looking up to as strong capable people who were there for you (or at a very minimum your first role models of adult behaviours), suddenly become frail, incapable and you need to be there for them instead, a full reversal of roles. It’s a hard transition for all involved and not pleasant at all.
Hope the situation improves.
I can see a planks totally more than 4 mins so deff not a fail. 2.40 is great pretty sure I would struggle to get 1 minute.

Complex
8 reps each
Clean and press
Front squat
Back squat
Good mornings
Row
Deadlift
Warm-up set 18 lb bar.
3 rounds 30 lbs.
I love complexes.
I do need to be more aware of my foot placement. Took me a full round to realize that I needed to adjust for the squats. Round 2 and 3 felt much better.
Today is a good day.
Same! It all moves so quickly.
@EmilyQ I hope I didn’t contribute to you muting the other thread. Ironically, I just unmuted it. I was so frustrated by it that I just couldn’t read it anymore. Then I figured I would read but not contribute. Then I got tagged and I spent all day there yesterday. Lol.

Today is a good day.
Deloads can be magic. Sometimes, when I eat pasta, I feel like a character in a video game that just got a med pack.
