Today a world class lifter trained in my gym! Eko Yuli Wirawan 62kg class.
During training he snatched 120kg and clean and jerked 140kg. His PBs are around 140/170kg I think.
As for me myself, I was satisfied with 2x 70kg snatches thank you. Caffeine helps.

I usually use something like 3x3 or 3x5. But I think I just didn’t spend enough effort to make my squat go higher.
my squatting has been weak as well lately. And I’m not sure why. Looks like I’ll be able to snatch ~105 and I find 4 reps with 105 front squat hard. lol.
Well after the comp I’m jumping straight into much more back squatting and front squatting.

haven’t really done them since i got 60kg. weighed myself the other day (digital scales) and i was 61.5kg. lighter than i thought. cursing that i didn’t put an extra 1.5kg on the bar - but i probably wouldn’t have got it, truth be told.
i’m moving to a different country in about a month… not making much progress on my thesis here with having to work since my scholarship ran out. i’ve found a former national level competitor who still competes at masters level and coaches. mostly training out of a place that is a bit of a commute away, but could probably make it out there once a week. he might still (he used to) do a bit of coaching out of a gym that i’ll join because it will be close for daily training. they said they were trying to dig up a women’s bar… they are powerlifters mostly. pretty excited about it all ![]()

I made the 102.5 the 1.25s are behind the 5s. over BW snatch PR!!! 2.5kgs
3 attempts at 105, 3rd wasn’t recorded it was similar to the first one. Those two 105s were closer than the 102.5s on thursday

c&j was in a very much rush again coach had to leave early…
110 missed jerk
120 one attempt, looked much better than last ones, need to start with hips lower and back tighter… Next time that I have more … time, I’ll be more focused and probably get it.
Tomorrow either rest, or some jerks(need to get it up!!!) or some lower back/abs shit.

120 easily had the height, just not the strong receive position but the height is there.

Thanks koing. I was out of time otherwise I would have taken more attempts. Oh well, saves the knee some pain.
The first 105 was awesome now that I rewatched it. The bar doesn’t go slightly forward at the start of the first pull like it usually does, everything was smooth and fast, just slightly off or just needed to be more tight.
The clean… well I know I’ll get it, it was easy. ![]()
Now I just desperately need a 115+ jerk before sunday.
edit: I also notice my left foot(or right depending how you see it) does weird shit in the snatch. It lags behind or something. I’ll need to correct that and I doubt it will give me PRs I think it will make me more consistent and less running forward to catch

Wasn’t feeling fast or powerful at all, just a bit flat. But interesting I only hit 117 but CJ 145 which only about the 5th time this year I’ve done it in training.
The CJ you can muscle about with but not the Sn.

Lifts are starting to go down. Guess these are dark times. I’m sleeping for 9-10 hours a night at the moment. Only my hair is ache free today.
I used to feel the same way for 110 compared to 105.
Since then I’ve improved my technique and front squatted a lot more. No idea which one changed it but even 120 now doesn’t feel heavy off the floor.

Because it’s 5% more…that is a decent chunk mate. It’s heavy enough to overcome your power at that given level to pull you slightly out of position.

snatched 95 today. i can do that as a minimum every session now. i love snatching.
i suck at cleans. my clean has gone to shit the last 3 weeks and i can’t really figure out what i changed that’s fucking it up. but i’ve become horribly inconsistent with even 110 which was a joke for me only a few weeks ago.
jerk is solid.
