Last year I just began training… lol… in November. But my squat number practically stays the same… (I did Starting Strength for 6 months before). I just got better at squatting.

The System is tough. I do a modified version as I’m working and the amount of sleep I get is not enough so I make do with just going heavy as much as I can.

Tell me about it. I work in a Gym so have access to a rack so I Can squat 10x weekly, as you’ve prob seen in this log I’ve been hammering it. Put 10kg on my Fs in 6 weeks, as well as improving my clean. I’m pretty sure everyone I speak to thinks I’m a lunatic for trying it though. Trying to find someone who has first hand experiance to give me a better idea.

snatch tried 102.5 like 7 times. one of them was SO FUCKING close. Maybe I’ll upload the video.
hip cleans
up to 100. sweet
tried 105 missed it but I definitely can do it. I think I will do some singles at ~105 hip cleans for a week then start doing hang cleans for another week or two… and then full cleans.
Was gonna squat and attempt more hip cleans but I was out of time. I might front squat tomorrow morning something like 44105

okay here are a couple of the misses. Neither of those were the one that was really close but shoot, it looks so doable! I’ll get in a lot of snatch volume in monday as my knees don’t feel too bad now after the workout so they should feel amazing on monday and hopefully that will help me pull the bar overhead instead of out forward slightly.

I’m not trying to stay at 73kg lol. I’d love to at least get some solid body weight on and move closer to 77 but I just haven’t been gaining weight lately. I guess I’m not eating enough but I’m not doing it on purpose. I’ve recently even gotten a bit leaner without trying to. Training is going good though, strength is still going up without body weight increases.
Lordstorm- I had 102.5 over my head yesterday, squatted it up, and somehow managed to lose it in front of me while having stood up almost completely, it’s mind boggling. I almost cried haha.

for some reason, I thought when I would hear McCauley or whoever talking about the sweep, it would be only applicable during the first pull… I do keep my lats tight from floor to knee, but after that, I kind of forget about it, lol.

yep in the last video in march I was 8 kgs more. I still got another ~6 to lose to get down to 94. I don’t see any reason why not since I still got some belly/love handles to lose and my lifts are going up.
it’s just nice to be lean man. my plan as of now is to get to a lean 94, then lean gain up to 105 with the help of Shelby. not that it matters because I can’t even properly lift right now, but fukit.

it’ll be interesting to see how much you stack on until the end of the year.
My FS has stalled around about 180. It’s been about 9 weeks since I last hit a 1RM PB. I hit a 2RM 2 days ago though.
OxMan squats daily when he is at home but he’s coming back to Uni now. He got some good gains as well. My other lifters squat heavy when they train.

For me the first pull is from floor to the point it nearly/ makes contact at hips.
I didn’t really brace my shoulders back about a year ago. I was tight off the floor but didn’t really brace.
