Was feeling good when I got there, then realised I wasn’t going to be lifting untill 7pm!!! Last time I competed in Mytholmroid I was home for 6. Had some food and had a 10min nap in my car.
Warming up snatches felt rather lackluster. Missed 100 in the warmup room so on the platform.
100 slow but solid, then I had a massive wait, so 103 in the warmup
105x behind

Clean and jerks
120 solid, said to my coach to choose my next weight but my 3rd was going to be 135 regardless
130, pinned and then BOOM. Best jerk I’ve done in my life
135x just too much on the day
235 total. 1kg Compatition snatch pb and a 13kg comp clean and jerk pb 14kg on my total since May. 5kg short of the English champs, I might get let in on that though. Overall I came 3rd (out of 9) in the 94’s behind two very good lifters. Happy with this, especially given conditions of the day. Here’s the vid.

Training as normal now, have a comp on saturday but will treat that as a training day. Might not have anyone counting lifts for me…so will just see how I get on.[/quote]
Looked good mate, first 105 looked like a joke, you stuck it on your last attempt
Jerks looked good. Suprised you didn’t get out of the Cleans easier. Stuck the 130 really well after a fairly tough Clean, good job!
Focus on keeping our chest up and try and catch the bounce better for the Cleans. Helps immensely to make the Cleans easier to save more for the Jerks. But it looks like your better at making Jerks after a tough Clean than I am!
Congrats on your PB’s mate! 107/108 wasn’t out of question on the day mate!
Hopefully see you at the English!

WTF?!
I wasn’t allowed to lift due to a form error. I had known that at the English and British Champs you enter in for one weight class and that was the one you competed in. You have to qualify for it. But at regionals in the past 12yrs no one had ever cared whatever class I was in. BUT at this comp they did. I had my coach mark the 94 and 105 classes for me as I wasn’t sure which one I was going to be in. Comp organisers picked the first one so that f0cked me…I was over the 94 so they did not let me lift. They would not let me lift in the 105’s. It has been the first time this has been pulled up in my 12yrs of lifting at regional comps. They didn’t let about 5-7 other lifters lift also. It’s a bit of a p!ss take imo…it’s not a qualification comp or anything…but rules are rules so that was f0cking annoying to say the least.
I had lost about 2kg since my last comp, mainly in part to being ill on Tue/ Wed.
Got my next comp booked on the 17th December. Weightlifting and CROSSFIT competition! LOL
Weightlifting part consists of a regular Oly comp then a few hrs later we have the CrossFit section…
As many rounds of in 10minutes as possible
60kg Cleans x 6
12 pull ups
24x double unders
the first 2 are going to be easy, the double unders are going to be a nightmare…if I get more then 2 rounds I’ll be lucky imo. I can’t remember ever doing double unders let alone 24 of them…it’ll take about 5minutes to get 24 doubles done!
I’ll get to work on the skipping element…
