And then you have guys like @raoh1990 (who beat me for transformation in 2019 and then again for most improved last year) coming in here all out of shape and then crushing it to get back to his old self. It’s a good thing I didn’t really do any transforming this year because I’m getting tired of losing to that guy.

Man, I feel you on this. A lot. I have struggled hard for 6 years. And have had this same feeling so many times. I have thyroid disease, ulcerative colitis, and a deformed hip socket which prevents me from being able to do a lot of staple exercises like traditional squats and deadlifts. I’ve worked through these issues (mostly), and have worked probably 3 or 4 times harder than most guys to get the same results. But damn, I have learned a lot as a result. Hit me up if you ever want to chat about anything, maybe we can help each other with our goals.

Here’s where I am:
I’ve improved, no doubt. Enough other life stuff has been at play the past few months if I needed excuses, they are easy to find. But personally (not truly competing with you studs, just myself) I’m quite satisfied with the progress. Meaningful fat loss, visible abs, lots of lifting PRs, massive improvement in work capacity… its been a good 5 months for me.
I’m not committing to calling this a final yet, but it probably will be. Maybe I can find a good lighting location in 4 days lol.
I am also ending a few days early. Took a pic this morning and I don’t see myself adding 10lbs of muscle in a couple of days.
Lost some fat, added some muscle, had some laughs and shed some tears.
Ended up hitting a few single PRs, some rep PRs and figured out how to eat. Not sure where my weight is at this point, and honestly I don’t really care. Feeling good and basking in the DOMs.

Not much of a change but considering I was on lock down for 90% of the 6 months and only using resistance bands I will call going sideways a win!

I snapped a potential “after” photo this morning. I put it side by side with my before and I don’t like the results. Maybe I’ll look better in a few days. I also ate two big cookies and two donuts at work today…in addition to my cheeseburger, peanut butter stuffed pretzels, rice, chicken thighs, veggies, and almonds.
I’m going to post in a few days when I’m back up to 215lbs for continuity purposes.
Didn’t exactly crush it on the cut but I hit rep PRs in almost everything and set a new max for OHP. Been lifting for 11 straight months now, the most consistent stretch of my life, and it’s paying off both physically and mentally. Gonna try and win most improved year over year next year.
In any case, I’m proud of myself for finishing this after bailing last year.
Your whole transformation is awesome! Body and mind! I know how busy your life is and you’ve still not made any excuses just got on and smashed it!

FTR, I’ve always wanted to do strongman but I had no clue there was such a thing as a 175 class until you posted this. I’m now 10-ish weeks out…
Just wanted to give you some credit/blame.
I’ll try to get that going. I haven’t yet asked my wife to take a picture for me… would be less embarrasing to ask my 7-year-old. Imagine:
“Honey, will you take some pictures while I flex, nearly naked? Including from behind?”
“Um… why?”
“Oh, I want to show some internet strangers”
“Um… is that why you’ve been eating weird and spending too much time lifting?”
“yes”
Vs:
“Hey bud, do you know how to take a picture with daddy’s phone?”
“Yeah! Why are you in your underwear?”
“Don’t worry about that son. Now your hand is blocking the camera, you have to hold it this way”…
