Am I wrong, or are there 3 of us doing a meet on that day? Isnt Pete doing one soon also?
geared lifting doesn’t count:) that’s more of a spectacle than a competition.

If I am pulling raw, does that make me 1/2 the spectacle?
you either are a spectacle or you aren’t…you have to choose Pete:) i’m doing my best to bring you over to the light.
the light is where one can put their own clothes on for a meet. it’s where you don’t need to pull people out of the audience to help spot you. it’s where dumping happens in the bathroom before the meet. it’s where hitting depth or touching the chest isn’t a five minute affair.

Decline Situps
10xBW+35 *Plate behind head
15xBW+35 *Weight on chest
Went straight for the 205 set… really thought I had it. The weight didn’t feel heavy unracking it and I stayed pretty damn strict I think, but just couldn’t get the bar moving. That rep felt like an eternity though, heh. Oh well.
military press- decided to go for my long time goal of 315. hit it fairly easily tonight. i don’t plan to push this any higher now until after the comp. i’ll go back to hitting my working sets and repping out the last one now.
warmup
0x10
135x6
(75%)-220x5
(85%)-245x3
(95%)-275- decided to skip this set and go straight to 315
315x1
seated dumbell presses
40’s x 6
100’s x 6
120’s x 6
130’s x 6- had one hell of a time throwing these up with my t-rex arms. once they were up the reps were easy.
hey, meatwinkle, thanks for publically pressing my bench max. dick. That’s seriously impressive, and I need to start pushing the press again. What do you feel about carryover to your bench? I felt like it helped mine quite a bit…

i feel that i get a lot of carry over now that i’ve switched to military press from push presses. i feel like i have more power off the chest when i bench.
shoulders feel healthier as well. i think the best thing i did was to throw in the reverse grip bench though. my shoulders are balanced now since reverse grip emphasizes the medial and posterior heads more.
have you given them a try yet. take some time getting used to but once you do they are very affective.

nice effen pressen. question for you, how do you get the dumbells into place? I cannot find a way that doesn’t seem like I am risking a stupid injury.
funny you should ask. i videoed my set with 130’s and i looked retarded. i told jowee to NOT post that video. my damn legs are short and my arms are short. i basically end up reverse curling them into position. it took me two tries to get the 130’s up to my shoulders. the pressing part was the easy part.
so to answer your question- guys built like us are screwed in that respect.
