Not as Fat Guy in a Little Coat

Jowee,I did the same thing. Got down to 250-255 and lost strength. Now back up to 265 and feel stronger then ever. I’m chasing the 600+ lb deadlift as well. Hoping to get it my up coming meet.
Yeah, I was up to 260 gym weight, and got down to almost 230, over about 2 months. I’m back up there now and a little bit over 260. Next time down the road I get the urge to do that I need to smack myself, maybe clean up my diet a bit extra, etc… but not try to drop 30 lbs like that, heh.

Oh, and I looked back in my journal, and when I pulled 600 in the gym a couple weeks before that I hit 520 against bands. Next deadlift session I’m going to attempt 545 against bands and I’m pretty confident about it. I hope to break my PR and pull over 600. I would be happy with hitting 600 in a full meet though.

i also like that fact that you actually have a picture of yourself and not some cartoon character. not sure why that bothers me so much. i would have one of me but my daughter is so much cuter.

That’s your daughter? I just thought that was you without the beanie from a different angle.

Dont be fooled, your initial idea is correct

Really happy with tonight. Especially since i’ve been doing a lot of heavy lifting the last few days for work and felt beat up but thought of dave and how he does that for work all the time so I tucked my vagina back and got in there and it went well. My PR against mini bands is 535, and that was hitched a bit. That 525 surprised me with how fast I locked it out. Next week I’m going to go for 545. Dave had to get out of there and scott wasn’t there tonight so I just did a bit more and left.
Wow, that looked real easy. Great job.

cycle 2, week 2 bench day- arms were a little achey today.

yesterday my daughter had a birthday pary at a place called the House of Bounce. it was basically a wearhouse full of blow up bouncy things and tall slides. parents were told they were allowed to go as well. i went down a few times on this huge slide with my daughter. then she went on this huge thing that started with climbing up a wall and then the kids dissappeared down the other side. there’s an obsticle course on the other side. you can’t see anything from the outside. i waited around waiting for my three year old daughter to come down the huge slide. a few minutes went by and nothing. i started to get a bit nervous. then over the loud kids i could hear her calling my name. come to find out she got lost in the obsticle course and was scared. i took off my shoes and climbed the first wall. once over the wall you slide down a small slide. i did that and at the bottom was a small hole you had to crawl through. i’m thinking there’s no way my big ass is getting through the hole. luckily i squeezed myself through. then you have to make your way through all these blow up obsticles. i just sort of bulldozed through them. later my wife said the entire blow up thing was shaking back and forth forcefully as i was bulldozing through the obsticle. as i turn the corner ther’s this huge verticle climb to the top of the last slide. as i get there, i see my daughter go down the slide…damn. all that for nothing. unfortunately the only way out was to climb the wall and go down the slide. there were actually two slides at the top. as i climbed to the top, my side of the slide was collapsing under my weight. i finally made it to the top and as i peered down everyone was laughing becuase the whole structure was leaning to my side. i slide down to a standing ovation with my daughter leading the claps.

anyway… all that got my arms a bit achey but still had a great day today.

Oh my goodness, was that FUNNY! Clearly your little girl has daddy wrapped around her pinkie.

Good thing you are down to your fighting weight, or there might have been a bouncy disaster.

my description did do it justice. my wife took some pictures. i’ll post them so everyone can have a good laugh.

thanks Pete. it’s no 700lbs but i’m happy. next week i’m going to take a run at 500lb.

Good day. I’ve had a cold the last few days and thought it might screw me up but I pumped full of dayquil and did fine. The first 325 I lost my tightness coming down or something and just didn’t have the drive. That second set though flew up pretty fast. I’ll probably try that weight next week with a pause.

I figure I’ll put up scott’s video too for him:

Nice work, guys!

What are you wearing on your arms, MM? Some kind of wraps?

Great kid story. I had to climb up into one of those McDonald’s Playlands once when my daughter got scared in the middle of a tunnel.

they’re Inzer elbow sleeves. my arms were aching from the climbing yesterday and they helped somewhat. i used to wear them all the damn time but now i only use them when my arms are aching from stupid shit or from squats:)

i’ve been up in those too. when cali was two she got stuck in a chick filet playground. i seriously thought that one was going to fall down with me in it.

I just couldn’t believe that you might be wearing . . . (gasp) GEAR.

Just kidding.

Cali. Cute name. Is she your only?

they don’t give me anything on my lifts, so i don’t consider them GEAR:)

it’s short for Calista. and yes my one and only:)
