Was able to go up a bit more in weight on the box squats than I thought I would be able to do. Height is a bit below parallel and I feel weak when I sit at the bottom like that. Scott and dave were pressing so I joined them on that but missed 195… shoulda had it, oh well.

Good mornings went well, felt them in my hamstrings a ton… going to use them as an ME exercise next week. I want to start getting stronger on them.

I can already tell my lower back and abs are responding well to all the extra work so far.

My favorite part of Cali’s video was her ordering her daddy around. She’s got the power.

What a sweetheart!! Gotta stop lettin’ her hang around with Pete though, she has almost as much gear on as he does when he lifts… including the helmet! lol!

Thankfully all your goodness went into making her… but his Holiness wrapped her up on the outside to look like her mom Boss… :)) love ya!
i bought her the bike and then the next day all the gear showed up. i guess i should thank Pete for that.

she definitely looks like her mother… but has my temper.
see, it’s like I have been trying to tell you, it’s all about the safety. The only reason I put on a bench shirt is to be safer…

for your viewing pleasure. feel free to point and laugh.

conditioning day- so… this was our first conditioning day. i played it conservative and will slowly increase the intensity and weights used for the sled. all in all i’m very happy with the first one. i videoed some of the stuff we did. it’s pretty funny to see how actually slow i run. hopefully that will improve over time.

here’s the not-so-good, bad and really, really ugly.

hill “sprints”

second set of hill “sprints”

sled pull

sled row uphill

i also have vids of joweeee on my youtube site.

was there any pukin?

She is too cute to be your kid. The only resemblance I see is gear on every joint, just like daddy!

not this time. i’m sure as i’m willing and able to push it, there will be some hurl’n.

come on… if i was moving any slower, i would be going backwards in time.

Man-o-chevitts! I’m out of breath just watching those! lol.

What’s the distance/height on the hill? How long was rope?

i have no idea. the video doesn’t do it justice though. it’s pretty steep. i’m attaching a vid of jowee doing the rows. you get a better idea of how long the rope is and how steep the hill is.

I was pretty impressed with how you powered up the hill. You may not be a sprinter on the flat, but you didn’t lose ANY speed on the incline at all.

how long did it take for you to come up with something positive to say about my first conditioning day??

thanks Tony. I’m going to press on and hopefully improve some.

I like to hold these in reserve for a while so you don’t get a big head.

I’m glad somebody chimed in, meat…I was at a total loss for words.

Just kidding. You know I’m just jealous.

I can’t watch the videos at work. Have to watch them when I get home. I’m sure you busted ass and got good and tired. You’re gonna be all ripped and look like Matt Kroczaleski at the next meet.

Hell of a jump on that standing press. Pretty impressive, meat. Almost there.

thanks tony. hopefully within the next month i’ll hit 315. i’m going to start doing some heavy(er) push presses after my strict(er) ones to overload the lockout.

have by chance checked out the t-cell lately. remember back a couple weeks when someone was talking about doing a smith machine bench with 600lbs? they just posted some 405lb bench for reps vid. curious what you think about it:)

Sick overhead meat! I have been working the hell out of standing strict press lately and I hate it when it comes time to grind this lift out. It seems like its a lift that requires a lot more grinding and less speed.
