here’s something a little more revealing…

you slutty little exhibitionist…

abductor tear?

Ouchie, dude. I hope that’s not as bad as it looks.

it was worse than it looked right there. that took over a year to come back from. i had a very long tear down the length of the muscle.

OH, shit, I thought that just happened tonight with your squats!!! Double dammit! LOL!!! Good to see you recovered. It does look pretty nasty.

1-31-10 Deadlifts

Keystone Deadlifts
6x135
4x225
4x315
8x405 +2 reps from last week… nothing that challenging.

Conventional Deadlifts against Mini Bands
3x135
2x225
1x365
1x445
1x520 +15 LB PR!

Back Squats *Paused… hit a pretty low depth
5x135
4x225
2x315
2x405 +1 rep PR *fell forward at the top of last rep but im counting it… lol

Front Squats *R/P
40x135

Awesome. Hit that 520 against bands and it wasnt as much of a grinder as I was expecting. Back squats I thought I would get a few reps and probably could fresh, but I fell forward on that 2nd rep at the top of it. Those front squats were pretty painful again. I got 15 reps before having to rest the first time… its pretty hard that late in the workout.

Your new avatar isn’t for the squeamish.

/averts eyes/

225x6
315x4
405x4
495x2
585x1
635x1

speed deads off floor
315x3x6

leg extensions
some x 100 r/p

seated calf raises
some x 200 r/p

good lifting tonight. we are in for a big snow storm. they are calling for 2 feet.

Holy elevated sumo deadlifts, Meatman!

Oh, someday…

thanks hoss!! my best is 700 from that elevation. next week i’ll up it to 655.

that’s okay… you need to slow down anyway. i want to get my calves up to 20 inches before you blow by me and up to your previous 21 inches or so.

Hah, the only thing from Muscle and Fiction in the 80s that I think really worked was the advice to train your calves 4-6 times a week. Made mine grow. Little else in that magazine helped me though…

Nice work meet.

deficit pulls kill me.

Are your’ hips beat after sumo?
mine get crushed.

2-4-10 Deadlifts

Elevated Deadlifts ~3 inch elevation
6x135
3x225
1x315
1x405
1x495
0x585 … not feelin well just dropped the weight

Speed Pulls *going one after another so not much rest…
3x315
3x315
3x315
3x315
3x315
3x315

Seated Leg Extensions *R/P
100x120

Standing Calf Raise *R/P
200x195

Those deadlifts are barely mid shin on me… they dont feel THAT different then just pulling from the floor, except that maybe I dont have quite as much speed comin up. Just wasnt feeling well last night. Been drinking too much caffeine lately, too much processed food, etc. Gonna limit caffeine to one morning cup of coffee and cut out my processed crap ive been eating.

315 felt like nothin but still wasnt feeling that great during it. Those last 2 exercises left me barely able to walk out of the gym, lol.

2-8-10 Bench

BB Flat Bench Foam Press
10xBar
4x135
2x225
1x295
1x355 +10 LB PR
*Full ROM, Paused with commands
1x290 +5 LB PR
1x300 +15 LB PR *video
1x315 +25 LB PR! *video

Reverse Grip Smith Bench
5x225
4x275

BB Close-Grip Bench *Paused
8x205
8x205

Great night. Ive been worrying about my bench lately, and tonight was the night to test it. We have the competition in less than 2 weeks now, and almost 1 year ago exactly we did the same push/pull and I got 280/540. So if I can manage to hit at least 320, that will be 40 lbs added to my bench in a year. I would like to make that 50 lbs… we’ll see. I was in the 242 weight class last year also, and I will TRY to be in it again this year, lol. Oh, and ill get that 315 bench video up later when scott is able to upload it.

Triceps were fried after doing that other stuff.

Surprised scott didnt post last night, since I know he doesn’t have work today. hope his power didnt go out or something, lol.
