Nosebleeds During Training?

Do you get them? I got one during my lifts Wednesday, and now I seem to be getting them daily. I’m hoping it’s just the increased blood pressure coupled with really dry winter air.

You are probably correct. Try getting a humidifier for your bedroom at night and turning the heat down as much as you can.

I battle with nosebleeds sometimes, especially during the winter.

Get a Q-Tip and swab the inside of your nose with Vaseline in the morning before your workout, this will keep the blood vessels and such from getting too dry, which makes them prone to breaking.

I found this helps with allergies too.

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot.

I set a new PR on my squat today (315 lbs), and did it with a paper towel shoved up one nostril, just in case.

Ha! Now that’s dedication. Gratz!

I want a nosebleed when going for new pr’s, it would be crazy, lol.

I’m not sure but I thought vaseline was one of the worst things you can stick up your nose…? I thought it was found to thin the membrain and cause more nosebleeds…?

No they give you Vaseline in order to help keep them from drying out. This happen to me today, and I rarely ever get nosebleeds. I was playing a little soccer in the cold weather and after a while I started tasting blood. My nose was bleeding and most of it went into my lunges so I was heaving and coughing like I was about to drop dead.
