Total Body Training:

Massive Eating is a nutrition article. Follow it for your diet.

Total Body Training is a training article. Follow it for your training.

Both of these were indexed in Vroom’s thread, which I’m glad you read. Now all you have to do is follow the instructions laid out in these articles, and you should see progress.

If you wish… AFTER reading these articles… post your revised training and diet, and we would be happy to point out ways it can be improved, if it can be improved.

so is that article telling me to only go to the gym 3 days a week and work 6 main muscles instead of 5 days a week and 2-3 main muscles each day?

Do you do legs?

yes i do squats and a couple calf excersizes a couple times a week
should i be doing other lifts?

Deadlifts are a must as well. It is excellent to see that you are squatting, though.

Just to clarify: The leg press machine or smith machine squats DO NOT COUNT. People in my area tell me they can squat 4 plates and are my height and weight … of course its on some kind of contraption.

Yeah. Through in some Deadlifts and some leg curls.

And get someone to teach you to clean.

Here’s couple good basic nutrition articles written by Thibs:

Dr. Berardi often talks about how most people train hard enough to grow larger and stronger, but few eat enough or well enough.
