Read this article the other week and decided to go for it with 2- 2 mg lozenges a day (1 in the morning and one at around 2-3 PM to help curb cravings and keep my weight down (by replacing cravings and occasional snacks in the PM with the lozenge).
Anecdotally it really works to help curb cravings and I felt my workouts have been good lately but I am not confident this has to do with nicotine.
Apparently a cigarette delivers approximately 1 mg of nicotine so the 3-3.5 I get from the lozenges is on par with a light smoker.
Has anyone else tried this? I regularly smoked for 2-3 years (approx 8 a day) in college and have not noticed that I have reignited cravings, though quitting was very easy in my case (cold turkey, about 1 day of annoyance and no others issues).
I did notice that my weight dropped by about 2-3 lbs within a few days of first use so I think I experienced a diuretic effect as well.
I think it’s rather dependent on the individual.
I quit smoking cigarettes over 2 years ago, but I still vape. To be honest, it doesn’t curb my appetite that Much. It more or less just curbs that irritation for me.
I did experiment with patches for some time, but have never used the legit nicotine source from the plant. I feel like it would probably zap my appetite and bring about an immediate case of the shits lol.
I tried chewing tobacco once and immediately had to go to the bathroom. Never again
I used dip when in high school. The lozenge is similar though easier and presumably non-carcinogenic. I wonder if it’s that nicotine is person-dependent, or that your fairly regular use has blunted the effect as your are adapted to having nicotine in your system?

I think dip tastes better. I used to dip before and after training in college, and a short time this year till I got married.
As a non-smoker, I occasionally resort to nicotine chewing gum to stay awake (long drives, boring work tasks, etc). Max 1mg or I feel nauseous. Don’t believe it has massive impact on appetite, but probably helps take the edge off as long as you don’t chew for too long (just like regular gum).
As an aside, many years ago I got talking to a guy in the gym who was prepping for Mr Universe. I can’t recall how many days he was out but must have been close as he had started to apply the fake tan. First thing he did after demolishing his plain baked potato was dash outside for a cigarette. He was literally shaking and claimed smoking was only thing that helped.
Man, everything you need is wish. Lozenge can’t help you if you’re willing to smoke. Just get your thoughts together and say NO smoking
