New PR's

Not bad at all. They’re getting up there. I don’t know if I can do that… never tried to figure it out.

According to some online calculator, my 1RM is 371, and 2RM is 350. But I’ve never squatted any more than 175 (x20). And last time I checked, 245 > 175, so congrats.

Good to see regular PR’s in here!

Since this is my first year running a powerlifting program, I will chime in with my PR’s.

Maxes January (I’d come off a run of shoulder injuries so pressing strength had dropped from poor to dismal haha)
squat: 140kg x 1
close grip bench: 90kg x 1
press: 65kg x 1
deadlift: 195kg x 1 (with shit form)

Maxes since then:
squat: 145kg x 4 (plus 5kg and 3 reps)
close grip bench: 105kg x 1 (plus 15kg)
press: 75kg x 1 (plus 10kg)
deadlift: 215kg x 1 (plus 20kg with great form)

I haven’t tested my squat 1RM yet, but I’m good for a huge squat PR, which I will attempt soon.
Bench press I am definitely good for more than that, but technique has been fucking with me.
Deadlift I should have 500lbs down soon.

182cm / 93kg / Running Full Body 5/3/1 and logging a full year of it on here =).

Squatted 185x20. Didn’t think I’d make the 10lb jump but did it anyway. 1.23xBW. 4-8 workouts left to 1.5xBW

Usually for the 1RM calculators the reps have to be less than 10 to be accurate

Today’s PRs:

Press 135x2

Db row 85x20

Hows your military compare to your bench? I feel like my military is far behind with a 165 max to a 285 max

My press is by far my weakest lift (relative to my other lifts). I have no idea what my actual bench max is, but I would guess in the 250-260 range. My Press max is probably around 150 or so.

I need to find the optimal percentage of press/bench to see how close we are

Rippetoe’s article on here a week or 2 ago said to shot for a press that’s 2/3rds of your bench

Yeah, I figured it was something like that. I don’t put much faith into calculators like that anyway. One of these days I’ll actually see what I can squat in a “normal” rep range.

Lots of activity in here; it’s cool to see.

A couple of weeks ago I tweaked my shoulder (non-training related tweak) and had to keep the lifting a little lighter. But today I went heavier to see what I could do.

Deadlift, 300x2. I’m excited about this one because it is my entire barbell set.

Overhead Press, 115x2. Felt really good, went for 125, but it was a fail.

Pull ups, 14.

I feel like calculators don’t even really work unless its your 3RM, but thats just me

Guillotine Press 3x8x105
SLDL 15x155

Nicely done. Now it’s time to go spend more money

Clean and jerk, 140X10

clean and press, 140X5

back squat 215X8 (rep personal record and it was a drop set)

165X5 bent over rows

bw+55 poundsX5 chin up those are today’s personal records.

225 5x5 bench

160lbs 7x5 on the bench yesterday. All with a 2ct pause. The pauses are humbling.

This is a great problem to have.

You and me both. It feels rediculous that 135 is my first warmup for bench, yet it’s a heavy set for press. I guess that’s what happens when my first 2 and a half years of lifting were spent benching heavy without ever strict pressing (high school football)
