Please stay more upright and keep your elbows up in the front squat :frowning:

Front Squat looked fine especially to be in Chucks.

Reverse Band Squat 510lbs for 5.

Back squat 295lbs x 9

I’m currently taking it VERY easy in my training since life outside of the gym is very stressful on every level (that will hopefully change next month). I’m following Dan John’s 2 days/week program, which is brilliant for maintaining. So obviously, I do not get to post PR’s on a regular basis. HOWEVER, I’m still proud that after working up to a very pretty, smooth and fast deadlift double at 265, I hit an even easier backoff set at 225 - for 10. I probably had 20 in me but I was in a hurry  I think sometimes we forget that 225 would be a HEAVY weight if it came in the form of furniture or groceries; making it feel like 22lbs is a glorious moment

Various pr’s.

  1. Flatbench- in in the race to 365. Hit 320 for 5 - TnG.
  2. Incline bench- 300 for 1 -TnG. 315 will be soon.
  3. 30 situps -w. 70 pounds on chest (2 -35plates). On floor, bent knees other weight holding feet down.

3rd attempt. Cant download vid. Taken on galaxy S3? Have vid of the 320x5.

Conventional deadlift: 170kg x 10, 15 rest, then 2 more with straps
OHP: 60kg x 6
CoC #1.5 x 3 with left hand

deadlift 235lb, 3 sets of 5 with double overhand.

I know it’s not much of an accomplishment, but my grip strength really fucking sucks and I’ve never been able to do anymore than a set with that weight before my grip just crapped out on me. So, honestly I’m happy that my grip strength is finally getting stronger with this training approach.

Today the weight went up effortlessly, and my grip stayed strong up until the last rep, when it struggled just a bit.

Thinking of getting chalk and testing my max deadlift soon. Maybe I can crush my previous max of 345.

Do it! Chalk is messy, but oh so cheap and it really does improve your grip (not to mention save your hands). Now that I started using it, I’m never going back.

Ever tried Liquid Chalk? Dont know why but I actually get more out of it than chalk.

420lbs Foam Box Squat for 4

Kristi 255lbs Deadlift off a 4in block

Power Clean 175X2X3

Bent over rows 165X8

strict standing overhead press 160X3

1 arm dead stop row 100X12

I haven’t posted my PR’s here in awhile. It has also been a very, very, long time since I have put anything over my head that could even be considered moderately heavy.

No, but you’ve definitely piqued my interest. But I definitely get strange looks when I do a full chalk-up (as in hands, back, and ass) when I’m benching heavy in an ordinary gym, so I’ll keep an eye out for it.

Pretty good stuff here. How much are you weighing in at these days?
