I’m glad Smolov Jr. did not slay your soul. That is a nice PR also! Especially since your body weight stayed the same.

Snatch 70kg x 2.
3s paused squats 255lbs x 3.

Thanks dude. Yeah I was coming back from sickness when I started it also, so I am pretty pleased with the outcome.

Hit my first 2x body weight squat today 335 at 161!

725lbs 18in Deadlift strapped in. Done Saturday at GA Strongest Man.

Nicely done. I like being able to measure things in xBW.

Still don’t think that qualifies as a ‘beginner’, lol. Congrats.

OHP 130x1 @ 147lbs. Just shy of 90% BW.

I’ve been training standing behind-the-neck press, not these, so I was just wondering where this number was. I was really hoping I could do 1xBW for a rep, but doesn’t look like I’m there yet.

Haha maybe not but I feel weird not updating in this thread since I have been for so long you know.

Dips 5x10
Wide Grip Pull Ups 5x10

THIS IS NOT A PR. But It’s been the first time in a long time that I had to think about Arnold’s pump quote:

It felt like having taken a warm bath and a massage, for hours

Breathing Squats 190x20. That was unpleasant.

IMO, anything involving more than 5 reps/set on squats is unpleasant lol.

Back squat: 137.5kg x 5

Fixed it :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously though, I don’t think anybody LIKES squats in a non-masochistic way.

Been lifting for 1 week, first dead lifting I did 100 pounds x 20 reps. Hardest thing I ever did.

That’s kind of a tough way to start out.

Why did you decide to dead lift for 20 reps?

Dips BW + 20 for 3x12

Well maybe I should not have. We were in the gym, mate said, how many times do you think you could dead lift 100 pounds, I said 20 times, mate said no way, so I did it, fist 10 were easy, but got so hard so fast, lucky it was at the end of the workout, cos had to sit down for half hour. But made my mind up to do 150 x 20 in a few months, as I am aching all over.

Haha I love high rep deadlifts nothing makes you realize how truly stupid you are until you have pulled close to double body weight for 10+
