easy… gonna ride this scheme out linearly and then switch over to 5x5 weekly. Wonder how much to deload for that.

Had a insane Event day today shattered some PRs by a mile. 222lbs bodyweight.

Pressed a 200lbs Keg in one motion for 6 singles.

700lbs Yoke Walk for 60ft in 27 seconds. This is damn 100lbs PR at 20lbs lighter bodyweight. Have not even attempted or trained a Yoke in 4 months. Will post link to Video in my training log if any one is interested.

305lbs Viking Press for a double.

645lbs 18in Deadlift. It was the absolute ugliest most fucking brutal stupid and most drawn out pull of my life. Literally took 14 damn seconds to complete the pull… Its only like a 12in distance lol.But it got locked so therefore in Strongman it freaking counts. Will post video of this and 625 pull in my training log.

Tell me, how exactly do strongmen get their invincible spine? Does your back adapt to that crazy shit, or do you just hope you are born with a spine of steel?

lol to be honest the way I hitch it takes my lower back completely out of the lift for the most part. I pull conventional and have tendency to get out on my toes when I pull so I fly off the floor but start to stall just past my knees because its basically all lower back. I then re shift all my weight to my heels by shoving mu knees forward, leaning backwards a,bit til my back is straight up and down and then literally just quater squat and pop my hips through inch by inch till the bar locks out. Its honestly one of those either you have it or you dont ability I know some guys who hitch and lose weight on the bar and few guys like me have seriously mastered it almost like its a whole other lift and seriously increase what you can lockout if your will Ing to fight like hell.

Videos are posted in my log now.

205X3 3 second pause floor press this is a ten pound PR that was fairly easy
130X10 ultra wide grip bench press with very slow lowering
wide grip bent over rows 185X13

Today’s personal records :). I was happy with my ME lift of the day, it was as easy or slightly easier than my previous best for a triple (195X3) .

Good stuff boys, mine from today: incline bench 185 for 5, dips bw+50 for 7.

Nice incline bench. How much is your flat right now :)?

Thanks I was psyched about it. 205 for 4 like two weeks ago.

Pulled a 315lb deadlift yesterday morning

Dumbbell Rows ramped up to 40kg x 12. Doesn’t seem like much, but I’m happy with my tiny hands and my short stubby fingers being able to hold that weight for so long. My gym’s dumbbells jump from 40kg straight to 50kg, so I’ll be spending a long time with those I think.

#1 pin mid shin rack pull 320X4 I just barely missed the fifth rep
275X4 snatch grip deadlift horrible form, my grip was fried
90X9 shovel deadlift

Some of today’s personal records. The rack pull is a big PR for it.

305lbs Log Clean 20lbs PR. This was my second single first was just abit smoother.

RDL
215 x 2 x 9
Haven’t done this in a while and it felt good to give my back the work from that angle; I’ve been focusing on GHR and Reverse Hypers for my hams because I only have access to this gym for like a \nother 2 weeks and not sure if i’ll have access to these sorts of things once I move on. My grip pretty much gave out on the last rep.
Just accessory, but I’m not too sure if this sort of set/rep scheme is enough.

My weight is also down a bit (under 246)… I don’t really mind because I’m still hitting PRs and I’m not squatting, so I don’t think the gained mass in the upper body will compensate for lost mass in legs. Oddly, my legs are looking pretty lean, but my knee is killing me.

190X5/195X4 close grip bench press
110X21 kroc rows

The most note worthy of today’s.

T-bar rows 205 for 12
DB rows 85 for 5

Hit some decent PR’s today but felt like dirt the whole session. Ya win some you lose some

Double pause romanian deadlifts 215X12
ultra wide sumo deadlifts 255X12 ( I suppose this is a record, still new to this stance)
145X3 suitcase deadlift

Started doing front squats today, worked up to 115 for 5, didn’t wanna go heavier just to learn the pattern and teach my CNS first, but some PR’s should be coming in the front squat department soon.

Weighed in at 185 today is my actual PR though, haha

Sidenote: Anyone have any good techniques or tips for keeping from getting the shit choked out of you while doing front squats? I’ll likely be using a clean grip, that’s what’s been feeling the best thus far
