New PR's

Chris 87- you have to relize though two things my overhead press is definetly a push press style believe it or not I do so little bencgimg that my overhead numbers are well above my bench. I would do good to hit 250 on bench for one or two but I am putting 270ish over head. Also I am a ungodly horrible puller in my opinion even at my biggest before the army I was only pulling low to mid 500. [/quote]

Makes sense. I’m just so horrible at pressing over my head that 250 isn’t getting up there no matter the style of press.

Chris- just a matter of training specifaction where your benching once or twice a week I for past few years basically have been following a conjugate methods so hitting over head two - three times a week but I have basically ignored all flat bench only doing inclines and dips to help my overhead and as a consequence my bench is probably pound for pound my worst lift.

Hey all. A few recent Pr’s for me have been a 225 x 1 Squat and a 255 x 3 Trap bar dead. 140x1 Bench as well.

Nothing special but its coming along nicely.

make it 255 x 5 on the trap bar deadlifts. weighing around 170

I squatted 245x10 for a 2 rep PR today. It felt great!

180 for 10 on squats today. Estimated 1rm according to wendlers calculator is 240.

195 OHP! Spur of the moment; I’d left weights on after yesterdays squat workout, and after doing some cleaning in the room today decided to see if I could OHP it. It was a grinder but dmanit it went!

230 x 10 on trap bar deads. Grip failed more then anything. Estimated 1rm is 306. Loving 5/3/1 so far

I`m in.

On monday this week( 10/09 - 2012 ) I did 1x80kg in Benchpress wich for me is a PR.

Good job jtownlax.

What was your previous rep max at 180 in squats if I may ask?

I just slept 13 hours. Big PR

315x8 Squat. Really proud.

I assume you mean training max? 215. If you are asking how many times i repped 180 last time i couldn’t tell you. I just recently switched to 5/3/1. My last squat session i hit 225 x 1 and boy was it a grinder.

Okay I understand. i meant how many reps you had got previously on 180 in squats btw.

hope you enjoy 5/3/1 and good luck with smashing future rep PR`s

Bench press 175X1, I had finished smolov junior but got a minor injury from smolov near the end. I was sick today while maxing out so my bench/squat numbers probably dropped and did for one of them. Nice squat jtown :).

I took my first real break in a year.

Came back to post a 315x1 bench. 225x11 bench 185x1 clean/press and a 450 dead lift.

All Prs

Where are you at in Tennessee bigred?

335x9 DL, previous week 325x9

I am really not a beginner

high box squat 495lbs for 3 reps
deadlift 405 for 1
and miltary press 205 for 2

Was thinking about Deadlifts all day yesterday and today so was force feeding myself with tons of carbs which was worth it.

Even though legs were still a bit sore for hitting 225x12 (which was also a new PR) on Squats 3 days ago I hit a new PR on Deadlifts - 405x4 @ 190lbs.
