Thats crazy you just got a 430 dead…today I got a 285 max on bench and was feeling like a champ so I worked my way up to a 425 max on deads, got it to my knees but couldnt lock it out. I’m so jealous of you lol
That’s so weird. I deadlift in the lower 400s, but my bench is probably around 240-250, and here’s reed pressing that for reps even though our deadlifts are similiar lol
2x2 315 deadlifts last week. Not a large number by any means going off what folks are posting here, but being able to move the bar rather effortlessly while feeling like I died after trying the same thing last month feels nice.
Wonder if I’ll be able to add another hundred lb to my deadlift within 4 months. Too optimistic?

In march I was at 275x3 for deads and now 405. You can do it (I also gained 10 lbs so that might help too).

Incline benched 205 for 3 today on low incline… does anyone else find the higher the incline the more weight they can use or that just me…?
The lower the incline the more weight you can use.
Lower incline= ressembles more of a bench
Higher incline= ressembles more of a military press

Haha, I have only been seriously powerlifting training since January. Squat is 160kg, CG Bench a paltry 105kg… just have a strong deadlift for my general relative weakness!
Haven’t posted in a while in here, still getting stronger I think. Recent peak lifts in 5/3/1, DL 340x6, Bench 185x5 and Squat 250x6. Also was messing around with power cleans as I had not done them in a while and worked up to a 155 PR.
One thing pissing me off is my lack of weight gain, still weighed 143 this morning… What the hell, I have been eating like mad, can’t seem to gain for shit, yet it appears my gut has more flab on it…blah, doesnt make sense to me.

Sounds like maybe you should start a thread about your diet. Could be too many carbs? Could be too little protein? Could be a bunch of stuff.
I know the feeling. I like lifting heavy and I only get to really do that one time a month with 5/3/1. But I’m going to give a few months and see if my weights/reps are improving.
Finally finally hit 157 on the scale this morning. I’d been fluctuating around 154-155 for a couple weeks now. I’d increased my workout frequency and volume, but hadn’t figured out how much I needed to be eating.
In other news, I’m still hitting PRs in stuff. I just laid off the squatting a bit after that 30repper. I’ll put those in here sometime in the next week.
Mostly though, I’m glad I finally got the scale moving up again.

200 for 10 on bench yesterday At the end of this cycle it’ll be a rep out with 220; I’m hoping for 8-10 reps then too.
Guillotine press 3x8x115 This was important not because of the weight, but because I was actually able to complete the whole thing without my elbow hurting once. Apparently foam rolling and using a lacrosse ball on my elbow tendons actually works.
I expect the weight to shoot up fairly quickly, as long as my elbow stays pain-free.
Chris 87- you have to relize though two things my overhead press is definetly a push press style believe it or not I do so little bencgimg that my overhead numbers are well above my bench. I would do good to hit 250 on bench for one or two but I am putting 270ish over head. Also I am a ungodly horrible puller in my opinion even at my biggest before the army I was only pulling low to mid 500.
