Part of the reason why I, BB is an ever going processs is that we are always trying new stuff. The original protocol works great, but it was somewhat complex and required a lot of product. So we are looking for a simpler one that is just as effective.
Right now I am using 2 Finibars 45 minutes prior to training, 3 scoops of Anaconda and 3 scoops of MAG-10 protein prior and during the workout (3 scoops of each total). With Alpha-GPC 90 minutes prior.
This actually gives me more of the amonia scavenging substances, more casein hydrolysate and more amino acids than the prior protocol. So far I’ve noticed in 1 day what I normally noticed in 5! So the protocol is at least as effective and much less complicated.
Maybe you should consider using a design of experiments approach.
What is the outcome you’re measuring? Is it how quickly you recover from a workout? Your perceived energy level througout the workout?
I imagine any type of experimentation with supplements is going to be pretty qualitative at best, having to rely on how someone feels rather than a quantifiable measurement. It’d be tough to control all the factors outside the gym for various groups of people.
Which supplement elicits the insulin spike, the Anaconda? Would this be as much as the Surge Recovery?
I thought I,BB was going to be released in phases, so why not release phase I, the original, along with Ananconda and MAG-10 and then release the other phases along the way? It seems the origianl protocol worked pretty well.

Might be a bit simpler, but I assume it will definitely be more expensive now with more Anaconda and MAG-10! And what about all the carbs we will be missing out on with Surge Workout Fuel and Surge Recovery?

Okay, so if we follow your previous protocol instead of this updated one, which is also cheaper in price, the effects will roughly be the same since this newer protocol is JUST at least as effective, not more effecive?
CT glad to see you guys are still trying new things and finding other ways to achieve the same goal. Def says alot about you guys and what you hope to achieve. One quick question, what is the MAG-10? A CH protein shake or what?
Oh and if you ever need another guinea pig my diary is pretty flexible right now
My issue with this is it seems like you’re searching for perfection of which isn’t possible in the sense that if you consistently strive toward improvement again and again, never saying, “there it’s perfect”. I can definately understand and appreciate the need to consolidate the products so that people don’t need to buy 10 different products in order to be able to follow the protocol, but it seems like all of this should have been done long before the announcement. Just saying.
You still get an insulin spike without Surge Recovery; the Fnibars will give you 50-100g of carbs and anaconda/MAG-10 have plenty of leucine in them, so you still gonna get that elevated insulin levels during our workout.
Regarding “5 times faster”, I am basing this on a totally subjective thing. I noticed that when I’m on the protocol (old or new) I have ZERO shoulder problems, but every time I go off my shoulder pan comes back within a week.
When I used to get back to the old protocol it took around 5 days for the pain to go away, this time it took only one day… and I trained 3 times on that day! The new protocol gives you more phosphate that increase intramuscular water retention and more amonia scavenging substance which drastically increase the rate of recovery.
MAG-10 is Biotest’s specialized casein hydrolysate-based protein drink.

I said that the new protocol is AT LEAST as effective. I say that because I have not tried it for long enough and with enough clients to know exactly how well it will work. But I think that it is gonna work a lot better in the long run as it is slightly superior to improve recovery from intense training.

It is not that more expensive… there is only one more scoop of Anaconda, no Workout Fuel and no Surge Recovery.

CT No more Surge Workout Fuel?..Does Anaconda will replace it?
In part. Except for the carbs, Anaconda has everything that Workout fuel provides, and a lot more other goodies. In a sense we could say that Anaconda is a second generation of Workout fuel

Supposedly, the Anaconda and MAG-10 will spike insulin on their own. Carbs are not needed to spike insulin as BCAAs can do that alone, for instance.
